Convertibles, love em and hate em lol

Why would I say this? Well, I took a nice 2.5 hr drive from western NC where I live to downtown Atlanta yesterday afternoon (1-4pmish) and I had the top down the whole way of course. Weather was beautiful. Little overcast at first but it cleared up and was partly cloudy with a high of probably close to 85 I believe. I had short sleeves on of course with no hat, just my oakley sunglasses.

I'll get to the point. When I arrived at my relatives' place I was BURNT on my face and arms LOL.

I had a hat but didn't think to wear it. I love my convertible but hot dog, I looked like a toasted nugget

Guess I need to be more careful next time. I forgot how fast you can get a burn ridin in these things!

Ha ha, I did the same thing last weekend. I looked like a raccoon the whole week. I had a nice burn all the way up my arms too. I made sure to load up on sunblock before I went out today.

I carry sunblock in the car year round. When I go on long drives, I usually have a white, long sleeve shirt on as well. Lots of sunblock on my ears and neck.

While the rest of the ol' carcass suffers neglect when it comes to bein' sacrificed to ol' sol, I'm never in Stewie that I ain't wearin' my baseball cap. I don't think it's so much for the thinnin' top-fur as much as it's my ultra-adjustable sunvisor.
We ain't had enough steady sun to do the first burn of the year yet, but it's only days before us folks up North East Way get our turn in the pan.
At least with the top down you're done kind'a evenly (well, except for the racoon part). Ran a hardtop for a day down in sunny F L A last year n' the lobster color has only just finally faded from my left arm.

"Whatever you do, where ever you go, enjoy the drive." I know for a FACT that the last year of production of the S2000 is 2003!!!!! After that, it will be the S2200 under an assumed name.
