Stupid convertible boot cover problems

Ok, I just got this dumb thing today. Put it and for a couple hours and attempted to take the stupid thing off. For anyone that has this thing, you'll know what I'm talking about. Every pin popped out of the boot cover except for the one on the drivers side. Its the only one staying latched with no sign of letting go. I don't know how to get it off. I've tried so much the actual fastener thats made into the boot cover is starting to rip away. How the heck can I un attach this stupid thing from behind the seat pin? UGH!!!!!!

I don't know, I have never had a problem with mine. Sounds like you have a faulty snap.

I know for a FACT that the last year of production of the S2000 is 2003!!!!!
After that, it will be the S2200 under an assumed name.

Are you talking about the tonneau cover? I always have trouble with one snap, but I give it a firm tug and it releases. Are you pulling the pin out and THEN pulling the cover away? It won't do both at the same time.

Honda really needs to find a better way to deal with those two center snaps. I find it really hard to reach in and pull back on the pin so that it can release. Not much room for hands and seems to be very finicky about the direction of the pull. I just never use the thing any more except for when I'm taking pictures.

Gomarlins3, mine is a 2006 model and I still consider it a pain. I can just imagine the earlier ones being worse.

You know, the car looks great with the top down cover or not. I took mine off at the dealer before I drove home and it hasn't touched the car since. I like the piece of mind of raising the top without getting out of the car. Unless it's a show car they're pointless in my mind.

I'm with Blade (like you guys didn't already know that) in that anything that gets between you n' the ability to pop the top in 6 seconds is somethin' that don't belong there.
But it's like the Leatherman: it's a nice, compact n' useful unit in n' of itself. When you put it together with all the add-ons that they make for it, it kind'a loses the original idea.
But, like everythin' else, it comes under the headin' of different strokes.
Be well.
