Blade, check out the post about this bein' the last year of Stewie too.
It appears that Ma Honda's tryin' to stretch Stewie's life by offerin' it with suspension equivelent to that which many of our site brethren already have.
N' then they went n' suited Stewie up like a cross between Road-Warrior n' Johnny Lightnin'.
I read it as good n' bad.
It's good in that I sure ain't got no urge to go out n' replace my current Stewie with the "new" one.
It's bad in that it's like watchin' the closin' scene of Requium for a Heavyweight where the washed up, once-great fighter (Anthony Quinn) is all clowned up n' headin' into the circus ring known as wrestling.
It would'a been more dignified if they let Stewie go out the way Stewie came in. Stewie deserves better'n 'at.
Be well.

As a trackday special, I think it's suitably ugly.
Not much to add to Java's post, I guess this is the end of a great era for HONDA or, hopefully, a beginning for a new even greater one. It's good to live in a time when the AP1 is still available for purchase and not stowed away as a collection car.
I think it's unlikely HONDA will ever make such a hardcore and technically advanced roadster - the market dictates that the likes of MX-5 make a lot more profit (and there's really nothing wrong with MX-5, I loved mine up untill 3 weeks ago, when I sold it).

If you haven't heard, you must have been in a cave for the past month. As for the car, I am not impressed and will be keeping mine thanks.

I know for a FACT that the last year of production of the S2000 is 2003!!!!!
After that, it will be the S2200 under an assumed name.

mmmmm body kit
matches the highschool undergrad temptation to add something that just doesnt belong..

please Honda, stop holding out on us. your F1 years are under your belt on this one.. and thats all that came out?
this is riding in the territory of the S2000's creditability as a roadster
and slowly fading out..... i really respect the non-re-designed aspect, but body kits and wings that have the potential to get me to china arnt the answer
