Sorry to everyone that was hoping for a story about a jet. This story is about my impulse. I dont know why this car fights me every step of the way everything is difficult. I could make this a 3000 word post no problem.... but I wont. Anyways I broke an axle went to replace both sides with larger axles. The first side went fine. The other side I broke a matco 1 and 3/16 socket i jumped on a long snapon breaker bar and it wouldnt budge. My air compressor builds up 175 psi hit the nut with the mac and nothing. I had to air chisel this sob off. This car makes it very hard for me to wanna keep working on.

looks like the treads were striped going on, or was that from your awesome removal (didn't you have to pull an axel off with a truck? We did the same tring to remove a ford 9" from a old truck)

I feel your pain. My Prelude fights me every step of the way too. I have axle stories, suspension stories, coolant hose stories, etc.

Aaaay! You wouldn't be doin' it if it wasn't somethin' that you actually enjoyed (okay, so . . maybe some parts less than others), right?
So, here's to you n' your Impulse ISU: if it weren't fer wrenchpeople n' dogs there wouldn't be hardly nobody I could trust.

Yes I pulled an axle with a truck and a tow strap. Me and my buddy which is a mechanic could not get it to pop. I tried 3 different pry bars kicking pulling pushing it would not budge. Ive heard of others having problems with that side but wow. My problems with the car have been cracked all 4 pistons, cracked the head on the dyno, few blown hg's, toasted a 6 puck clutch in 8k miles, blew the tcase up spun a bearing, killed a turbo, and a long story with the axels and about 8000000000 other things ugh.
