A Gatherin' of Stewies

Okay, so the folks at S2kCA mistook me for someone housebroken n' relatively civilized, n' I was cordially invited to a "gathering" of their members up in Mahwah N.J.
A real nice bunch'a folks I don't mind tellin' ya. N' once I found out that "Davo" was one'a the foundin' fathers of the site (I was afraid that "Davo" was some head-bangin' rock group n' that I was gonna be the token oldie) I was relieved n' it was kind'a neat.
What I was wrong about was this: I was absolutely certain that all those pictures of those flawless Stewies that everybody posted was done with smoke n' mirrors, special fx, r' touched up photographs. I humbly stand corrected. I have never seen that much shiny body parts (exceptin' one weekend'a scantily-clad maidens wrestlin' in olive oil in Palermo) in one place at one time. These units were so shiny that it's probably illegal. Oh, there was the occasional paint chip on a nose panel, but the polishin' that went into these rides was . . well . . my eyes still hurt.
They were fixin' to go on a scenic ride n' some'a the folks (our own kg f'r instance) came in from Va. for it.
'Really seemed like a great time was bein' had by all folks.
So, who in the NJ/PA/CN/NY area's gonna start somethin' up like that for S2000.com? T'is the season folks.
Be well.

Actually, Davo is the third president, taking office about 1.5 years ago after Perry Chicaine held for 1 year and the first Prez, Greg Stevens who had been since inception in 2001.

Sheesh! 'Never would'a pegged ya for a history major Vez.
I godda tell ya that I'm a little jealous'a readin' about you guys out west n' the folks at S2KCA havin' these great get-togethers.
With all the Stewians that we got runnin' aroun' the NJ/NY/PA/CN area, you'd think somebody'd think to set somethin' up in our area.
So, how'ziss grab ya? I got this airport choke-n'-puke out off'a 513 in NJ. Ain't nothin' fancy, but maybe it's a start. Next Sunday, say 09:00?
N' come early Sunday mornin', I'm goin' out one way r' another (Therapy don'cha know). I can point 'er nose in another direction if anybody else cares to play.
Be well.

This is where the last S2KCA President (Perry) did it right, by setting up the chapter program. Without the Winter Wine Tour he planned in January '05 and the chapter program, there might not be an S2KCA today. It was in serious disarray when I appointed him President the previous October. I was the only BoD member who hadn't quit the club at the time.

Java's got a good idea of doing the meet/drive gig.

I'm not an organizer but you can put me on the list whenever someone steps in and takes charge !
