An Observation. Okay, an Opinion
I, personally, find that there are times when I browse the site and it's as good as any over-the-counter sleep-inducing drug. Some topics (again, all disclaimer shields have been engaged) are about as interesting as reading spec on your electric toothbrush. But sometimes, it's the only show in town n' you jus' godda deal with it.
Then there's other times when you're lookin' at a bunch'a topics that all seem to be clamorin' for your immediate attention. What I'm gettin' at is that yeah, there're gonna be times when the pickin's're slim, but hey! We can't be terrific all the time, right? If, for no other reason than to use as a gauge to know when we are terrific, we've godda have some mind-numbin' periods of "why-on-earth-would-I-wanna-get-involved-in-that-thread?". But, site-wize, this is the one where it feels the most comfortable hangin' out, n' where never is heard a discouragin' word (most'a the time) n' alodda the site brethren tend ta become as near ta friends as this contraption can provide, so . . as Tiny Tim so appropriately stated . . Be well gang. Java

I don't mind the site as it is. There are three S2K site I frequent and this is the easiest to keep up with. S2KI is impossible to keep up with every thread and S2KCA isn't so bad as long as I don't miss a day.
I check in with this site a couple of times a day and try to help out when I can. There are threads that I don't get into because I don't have any info for the OP or I just have no experience with whatever it is the OP is asking about..

I really enjoy this site. I'll scan the others if I can't find the thread I'm looking for here, but that is rare. I like the fact that there isn't all that flash stuff attached to everyone's profile (it makes me feel like I have A.D.H.D.). I feel like we're a close group of buddies as opposed to 1000's of people who don't know each other.
Thanks, Dr. Jimbo |

I actually prefer a smaller site. Way too many personalities to deal with on S2ki and S2kca is getting to be the same.

I agree. Anything with more than about 15K people is way too much. I love the ones under 5K cause most everybody knows everybody and it's a lot friendlier atmosphere.

I like the smaller sites, or even larger sites with a small core group. It's easier to keep up with and I don't end up killing a day of work trying to keep up.
The larger groups have their place, but with enough knowledgeable people, that need kind of goes away, too. The biggest thing is that the people stay friendly. Too many times sarcasm gets misconstrued and feelings get hurt. The only real gripe I have is that I think we need to take away Java's apostrophe key. It's probably as worn out as your clutch pedal Matt |

Actually, they usually accuse me of not havin' a g (See? See?) on my keyboard Matt. (N' on only a few occasions only one oar in the water)

This is by far the most comfortable and friendly s2000 site. I'm not in it for all the flashy "rice," jdm this and that and what not (been there done that). this car is just so damn fun to drive the way it is. Owning a car like the s2000 can be intimidating at first when you are stepping up form a honda civic comuter car. it's nice to get the info you need when you need it, without all the grief you get from other sites.
