Forewarned
This year I thought I'd throw my ol' "watch those leaves" warnin' up (No. Not for you. For some'a the new Stewie folks that haven't the experience yet) before the season, rather than as a reaction late in the season.
Most of the more enjoyable twisties run through scenic wooded areas that we've probably gotten in the habit of blitzin' through durin' the max-grippiness that's provided by the warm/hot summer weather. Fall, n' the resultin' leaves on those same, familiar twisties can be near'z treacherous as ice in situations where you need grip n' all you get is slip. N' it probably takes alot less than you might think. When the leaves start fallin' wickin' Stewie down a bit ain't a bad idea. Consider it kind'a a preparation for the cold, icy tarmac'a winter. Be well n' remember: the roadside scenery is real purdy. Right up until you screw-up n' get up-close n' personal with it. Java |

Yeah. N' I remember plowin' through a pile that had a @*#&in' concrete block in it. Thankfully I was drivin' a Bronco n', outside'a the "air time", if it made a difference in the truck's abilities. . . I couldn't tell.
Y'know . . all this talk about leaves n' the fall's got me thinkin' about takin' a couple'a days off in the fall n' goin' in search'a some exceptional foliage this year. I ain't tryin' to make time fly r' nothin' but top down n' runnin' twisties through the fall foliage . . . jus' don't get much better'n'att. Y'know? The Gap's (as in our own Delaware Water, not the ever-popular Deal's) as good a place as any for a meet n' greet when the time comes. Nothin' formal. But chances are a bunch of us r' gonna be out there anyway. (N' if we ain't, then we sure'z hell should be!) Be well. Java |

No hike at all isu.
Either one's good by me. I usually pass the "Bass" durin' my therapy (do I trust you guys r' what leavin' myself open with a line like that?). There's also more'n a few, a little more "laid-back" places that I could recommend in the area. Good chow, plenty of it n' fair prices. But, I'm gonna be out there on Sundays anyway. Lemme know how n' when you wanna play it. A Sunday late mornin'/early afternoon's prime for me. I'm out for therapy in the early Sunday dawn n' am almost always in that vicinity (when somethin's really great, it's hard not to point Stewie's nose in that direction every time you leave the driveway.) Be well. Java |
