I believe that the problem lies in that an apostraphe (of which I'm so fond'uv) wuz left oud'a the word'n that'z the source'a the confusional situation whu'choo good fellerz got goin' on here.
Over the yearz'z the word wuz passed down to us, the apostraphe wuz lost. The original word'z vikin'gest, n' obviously suggestz the resultin' gastronomic doonz'uv a big, bearded feller whutz wearin' horns onn'izz head, really hairy clothes'n whutz jus' finished eatin'.
Alwayz glad ta clear stuff like that up for yuh.

Drinking while posting is never a good idea. You should have a designated poster. An accident is inevitable and getting a P.U.I. on your permanent record will surely cause your insurance rates to go up.
