The Wright replica was a traveling exhibit. All shots were at the air show.

Hi Philiam!
again, the pics were great.....(you too SXY.) I've been to Kittyhawk and the Wright Brothers Exhibit. It's worth a look-see, just to get a perspective of how tiny the original project was. The plane, and the distance traveled on the first flight, are so small. The monument is on the only hill in the middle of a giant plain.....I've got pics somewhere..I'll try and locate. If any of you folks haven't seen it......Highly recommended by jagg as a testament to good old American Ingenuity, and a thorough knowledge of how bicycle parts fit together. Best Regards, jagg |

'Z'long'z we're on the subject, if you're seriously into old aircraft (I'm talkin' WWI n' earlier for most of 'em) the Rhinebeck Aerodrome in Rhinebeck, New York. You wanna step back in time n' experience a piece of Americana that, once it's gone, will never be seen again?
Check it out on line. Too many years I knew of it n' never got aroun' tooitt. Now I'm tryin' ta make up for lost time by gettin' up there every chance I get. If you're into old A/C, you shouldn't miss this. 'Make a durned good place fer some sportscar types ta meet up too. Be well, Java

The last pictures were taken at a little know museum in Sylmar CA, about 30 miles NW of L.A. If anyone is out that way it's worth a visit. The museum is free with plenty of parking. It was built a man named Nethercutt to house his huge collection which had been in a building named San Sylmar across the street , another must see destination. That one you must make an appointment for the tour. It's several floors with something neat on each floor. Music machines from the past and even a full size theater organ that rises from a pit and has a separate room for the pipes. The cars sitting on the travertine marble are taken out on air pallets to be driven. All cars must be driven regularly. There is a full time staff of master mechanics to restore these beautys. In back of the car museum sits a railroad station with a full size train (see pic). If you want to see a fantastic web site, go to http://nethercuttcollection.org/index2.html
You can turn the cars with your mouse and hear some sounds of yesteryear.

OK, you guys know I'm out and about with my camera.
Riding the countryside on Sunday, enjoying the sights. First Shot I like to call, "Look! My gonads" 'N the last shot is- "Where's Philiam?, he was just here." (unrelated, they just happened to be next to each other in the roll, Phil) The ones in between are from Yonderland. jagg Picture 553.jpg Picture 519.jpgPicture 526.jpg Picture 533.jpg |

I actually use an old 5MP Canon SLR, but I've invested quite a bit into nice lenses to help with the low MP....

Well SXY,
If I have to say so myself....I do have a discerning eye. If not that, I can, at least recognize gonads. It's a fine line. LOL, jagg |

Hi Phil !!!! I knew you were hiding somewhere.
I'm looking at Bat's pictures, (they're super) 'N thinking..I've gotta come off the hill once in a while. Travel around a little bit. Agitate some foreigners in some far away land.......Oh, wait. That's why they make me stay on the hill in the first place. Again, wonderful pics bat. regards, jagg |

Thanks jagg.
We were on a Med cruise last year. I wish we could have spend more time in each place we visited. I plan to go back and spend some time in Italy(where some of my ancestors came from) and Greece. Of all the places we went, I liked Greece the best. the people were so friendly.
