Vtech question
Does Panasonic make Vtech phones or are they two separate companies. The prompter voice on the answering unit of the phones sounds the same. Just wondering.

I thought this one was funny, but no one is biting. You know, the whole "vtec" and "vtech" thing. Get it?
Sure is lonely being the only one on the ship of fools. C'mon Java, help me out! |

Vtech makes phones. I have a Panasonic phone at home as well as a Vtech phone. On the answering machine, the voice prompters are the same. Vtech also makes educational / interactive children's videos.
Sorry about the lame thread. I figured with the vtec/vtech mix ups that people get, this would be humorous. Boy, was I wrong. I feel like the guy who laughs at his own jokes while everyone else stands there stonefaced. Time to crawl back under my rock. |

That would explain my phone getting faster after the 6th call.

don't worry Dr J, I got a chuckle
Probably there are too many people who think that VTEC means V-technology or something rather than realizing that it's an abbreviation for Variable valve-Timing-and-lift Electronic Control so they rename it to V-tech. My old highschool buddy who's a domestic car nut is a good example. He calls it valve-tech. |
