Scientific Research has Proven that . .

I didditt!
N' then . . in daylight in frunna the local populace all aroun' in their hermetically-sealed bubbles . . . I didditt again.
For a week now my WWI flyerz cap has taken up residence in the passenger seat'a Stewie. Yes. I own one. I've hadditt for years before even gettin' Stewie, never knowin' what I had really bought it for.
So I put it on last night n' drove ta work in what? 25 degrees? Usually I wear my signature BFG winter ballcap n' it's good n' all, but I hadda know.
So without even lookin' aroun' ta see if anyone wuz lookin' I put on the flop-earred flyer'z cap (also referred to as a "mad-bomber").
Whoa! No surprises, but we're talkin' serious increase in head/ear warmth!
The surprise lied in the area'a the Snoopy ears floppin' in the breeze that I expected. Nada. Zip. Zilch. The ears hang pretty much straight down.
So, I'm sold onnitt.
C'mon . . . . you know you wanna. Hell (No! Siddown Morg) you've probably already godditt picked out if it ain't already been delivered n' hidden in some sock drawer someplace.
So what if the neighbors don't talk to you. (Actually, my neighbors'll cross the street if they see me comin' so whut'z ta lose?)
We're not the norm. Revel innitt!

Topp'z folded down,
N' I'm scootin' 'roun' town,
'Godda floppy-earred hat on
Keepin' warm the ol' crown.
Wuffo'd'ja buy a raggtopp
If yer alwayz inside it,
'Screw the normal way'a things
'Jus' godda defied it.

Drop 'em n' gimme 50. (But I'll settle fer an "Amen brutha")

junky,
you're funky,
and crazy as hail,

wearin' a lid from when jennys flew mail.

the neighbors are starin' and scared half to death,
if you give 'em a look they all hold their breath.

they don't understand why you've got to drive
top down in winter at a hundred and five.

but your head is quite warm and out of the weather,
the topper you're wearin' is made out of leather.

there's no explainin' the state that you're in,
except maybe for your wide stewie grin.

junky,
you're funky,
and crazy as hail,

winter's set in, but you're still haulin' tail.

WOW did'nt know we had a poet among us in this forum. Good job. Anyway last knight I was stoped at a traffic light and lots of cars around me and for some reason in 30 degree weather I had the urge to put the top down so I did. The looks that I got from other people were so worth it. Sometimes I just love that kind of attention. All I was missing was a funny hat to wear you'll have tell me where I can get one Java.

AMEN!
I thought I saw that on CNN last night. Chopper shot of the men in blue chasin some "lunatic" (their words, not mine) in a sports car and they couldn't catch him! Couldn't even get a good ID cause of the hat flaps obscuring his mug and the salt on the license plate. They said the guy was screaming something but nobody could understand it. They finally gave up.
Your 15 minutes are up, but there will be reruns.

Sonic:
Sportsman's Guide'z no doubt the most bang fer the buck. Probably about 20 bucks fer a fur-lined, leather. 'Tons'a other neat stuff too.
Punch up "Aviator caps" 'r helmets n' there'z loads'uv'em available.
Some're fer show with the big furry flap that does what? Covers yer face?
But there's a bunch out there.
Hartford n' York'z got one by Wigans that I keep goin' back n' droolin' over. At 95 scaddolez, it ain't cheap, but . . .

B.F.Goodrich ball cap bb.

N' Sound, a snowmobile suit'll certainly doo the job. I used one for many years when winter wuz winter n' I rode my bike through the year, but it'd be Sears Best Heavy-Duty overkill.
'Z'long'z ya dress like you're goin' out in the cold n' not like yer goin' from a heated buildin' to a heated vehicle, you'll do fine.

I find that my weak link (I heard that) is my pawz, so they godda get extra attention. It's a season-ta-taste situation n' everybody'z goddadoo whut everybody'z goddadoo to make 'emselves comfortable.
With some that's jus' keepin' the top up n' waitin' fer spring.
I've never had that kind'a patience.
Be well,
Java

Requests for photographic evidence of said "Snoopy" cap, while affixed to J.J. 's noggin, have been noted. Let it be transcribed into the record for future reference.

i believe everything that java says. he is a fount of wisdom.

however, photographic evidence of his existence is not forthcoming.

he is so deep underground that he cannot afford to be seen in daylight.

he does reflect an image in a mirror.

that being said, java will continue to be a man of mystery.

java, i believe that we went to school together...but at different times.
