It was easy. The hard part is prep. I used a pneumatic grinder with a wire wheel to cut all the oxides and burrs. The painting is easy. I used the G2 kit and about 3 coats. After it cured, I sprayed it with high temp clear to give it some gloss.

When I got home and noticed the H caps missing, I got on the phone. The dealer said the installer had them in his pocket and would leave them for me.
I was glad they did not vanish since they were a Christmas gift from my son.

Nice wheels BG. I was a thinkin' of gettin' some "gun metal" colored wheels for Baby. First I have to refill the coffers after blowin' the bucks on the HKS exhaust. If you don't mind me asking who makes yours?

They look good on there! I tend to prefer more wheel/less tire, but I do like the gunmetals.

Let me know if you're interested in selling the stock wheels/tires, because I'd definitely be interested in updating the stockers I have on my AP1 if the price is right.

EDIT: Those are the 17-inchers, right?

I have someone who says he is going to buy them. I haven't heard from him in a couple of days. So............

Yes 17 inch.

BG I was admiring your new wheels again and I noticed in the photo that blue stuff you have over the headlights. Some sort of film I think. I was wondering what it is and where you got it.

I sure hope you are a believer in the old adage, "Imitation is the most sincere form of flattery"
