2008 Mitsubishi Evo
So its finally in at my store, and it is TITS!. I would like to trade in my S for it, but still to expensive. Its a much more refined car than previous models. And now I have to stare at it all day thinking of ways (unsucessful) to buy it!

yeah if you bring your s in and say you have it paid off and were considering trading it in I'm pretty sure you could test drive one,
just dont fill out any papaer work before they take you out to look at them, I worked at a dealership you can tell them what you have and what you want, but dont let em run your credit before you go out(or if your like me there will be no test drives) lol I'm still considering takin one out for a ride, I dont really like the new sti's...

You should be ashamed of yourself......... you can't put the top down on an evo. LOL The way I see it, (fast or not) anything with four doors is a grocery getter.

Aren't evos only like a 12.5 sec car with a stock turbo?

I disagree. I think the EVO/STI are great cars, are very fast, and handle wonderfully. In stock form they are very quick and a blast to drive. You don't need to have the top down to have a good time and just because it has four doors doesn't mean it can't be fun. The reverse would be to say that anything with two doors is a sports car and we know that isn't true.

Im gunna have to agree with you. My buddy just got his '07 STi outta the shop a week ago. he's got a stage 2 kit + other mods in it now, and that sucker is insanely fast, but still controllable. when we were cruisin on the highway, we pulled next to a new Porsche GT3 and ran him. that GT3 didn't stand a chance. i wanna see a vid of an S do that.

Is it possible that some folks can still "rate" a car by whut it does against some stranger'z ride that might, 'r might not be stock, n' the driver who, might, 'r might not be any good n' might, 'r might not be even aware that you're there, let alone racin' 'im/'er on a highway?
That's like whut-iffin' in these posts'z ta whut'z gonna whup whut. Do ya really wanna know whut'z quick n' whut'z left-overz? Huh? Dooya punk? ( . . oops. 'Sorry. When I'm tired Dirty Harry surfaces . . well, either him 'r Carol Channing.) Take it to a track. One'a the really older fellerz has a final line on'izz posts that's kind'a like "the flag talks n' B.S. walks." All the rest is jus' so much cheap talk, y'know? Java

One thing we can all agree on is that all of these cars (S2000, Evo and Sti) have an incredible racing heritage. What the Honda's do on a race track, the Evo's and Sti's do in the dirt (and that they are very good on the track as well). I would love to own all of these cars for that reason.

Ok, I take back what I said earlier about all 4 door cars being "grocery getters". I did a little research......
This is obviously a racecar.........

The body kit for the Evo is tight! As it sits in the showroom I continue to drool! I wanna test out all that torque in this sucker, 300 @ 4400rpm.

Maybe I can Photoshop the back doors out of it, if I don't get nauseous first.

Not that my two cents is worth any more than that, but I would say if you really can't compare the two cars. They are two very different machines, with very different purposes. I like both of them, obviously one more, since I am not posting on an STI forum you can guess which one I like. But either way, to each his own, and both are great driving rides.

Well Im 6'2" and 280lbs, so as much as I like the S, I dont think it likes me as much back. I have to keep my wallet and my phone out of my pockets because its hard to get to them when in launch position! Pics taken, cannot post at work, will do so when I get home.
