best Album of the 90's
O.K. Were sitting here at work talking about Led Zeppelin and the greatness that bestow's them. So we are trying to think of the last great Album made. Nevermind came out about '90. What is the best Album since? All we have now are these fame hungry, Image bands of today. My opinion is Alice in Chains : Dirt. (shortly after)

Metallica's Black Album was a big one, kind of ironic how it made a whole generation aware of Metallica's presence yet it's the point at which hardcore Metallica fans became alienated, I thought it was a good album though. Certainly not vintage Metallica but still good Metallica.
Guns 'N' Roses had a winner with Use Your Illusion I/II as well... November Rain has to be one of the greatest ballads of all time, which isn't to diminish how good the rest of the songs in that set are. I'm a sucker for Billy Joel's River of Dreams album, too... a lot of sentimental value there, RoD was the first album I ever owned, on cassette way back when I was in 3rd grade. |

Hey Java, I read your first post and realized you're on the wrong thread. This thread is about music out of the 1990's, NOT 1890's.

WARNING FOR SOUNDMAN............
Driving a convertible while wearing parachute pants can result in immediate extraction and possible injury when speeds exceed 60 miles per hour. The NHTSA has found that air currents at these speeds create a negative pressure in the seating area and causes the excessive fabric to act as an actual parachute, ejecting the driver and/or passenger from the vehicle. Be careful out there.

I was looking through CD's at the local little-bit-of-everything store the other day, and I came across an MC Hammer CD... I couldn't understand why it was for sale there, because apparently they didn't want people to touch it, so I have no idea how they were supposed to get it off the rack to buy it.
I got home, and I was curious about what was up with it, and I saw another album that said the same thing on it on the internet, so the store I went to must not've been the only one that didn't want people to touch the album. I'm trying to figure out if this was due to issues with MC Hammer's record company, if the stores have decided to boycott MC Hammer while sending a message to customers and potential MC Hammer listeners that his music is filthy, or just a marketing gimmick by MC Hammer himself. Here's what the strange album looks like: ![]() Does anybody else here know anything more about this anomaly? |

I may have to go with Pearl Jam's "10". In reality, it could be a toss up between Nirvana, Pearl Jam, or Stone Temple Pilots in the early 90's, all great cd's.
