got hit today = (

So I was leaving a gas station today and intending on crossing across the street to the local wallmart when a lady came around the corner and hit me..It was one of those gas stations near a major intersection so its always dangerous turning out of those things but this lady came around the corner after I looked both ways to make sure I could cross next thing I know I hear her brakes screamin and her right hand side front bumper hit my left rear wheel dead on and spun me around. it literaly poped the axle out and snapped my control arm( or so it looks so far) there were light scratches on my rear bumper but no major body damage, luckaly no one was injured but I'm super depressed now because I just got the car out of the shop 2 weeks ago after it being down for 5 months with tranny problems I swear I have the worst luck with cars and trucks
blown motors, theft, trannys, the list goes on

On a better note I got a new job today so if anyone lives in az and wants a new cell phone or your contracts up come see me I work at alltel wireless

'Really sorry to hear aboudditt cb. Yeah, I can imagine that you're depressed aboudditt. We'd all be.
'Z'dumb soundin' n'z'lame'z iddizz, you're okay n' thankfully all that's been damaged is mechanical. In the right hands mechanical is fixable.
But, you're okay, so maybe your luck ain't that bad. Maybe it jus' ain't made it's mind up on which way it's gonna go, y'know?
You managed to survive "the lady" n' now you've godda new job . . soundz like you could be on the upswing.
N' I'd imagine that the new job'z gonna be occupyin' much'a your time while you get familiar with things, so that might make Stewie'z shop time a wee bit less noticeable.
'Wishin' ya only good luck cb.

thanks Java, I guess your right. I didn't look at it like that before, but now that I think about it I remember hearing her brakes and then looking up as she hit me, it was crazy because just like you see in movies it seemed like slow motion, then silence and a loud bang from impact, sitting there out of breath I remember thinking she completly smashed my door in and my car was totaled, luckaly when I got out I realized it was not bad at all and everyone was ok,(it could have been WAY worse, especialy since she was driving a civic and not a lifted truck or something) on one hand I'm not injured and I realized how dangerous the road really can be. So far I'm lucky after riding motorcycles for 4 years to be still alive and well.. I plan on maintaining a better awareness when out there...gotta thank the man upstairs for keepin an eye out on me.

Cb, yer sellin' yerself short lad.
If you've ridden bikes for 4 years, it'z likely that, at most, your awareness is merely in need'a some fine tunin'.
Bikes're real simple gauges: either they say yes, you can, and you go on to live a relatively normal life, 'r they say no, you can't, and any life is a gift to be spent avoidin' bikes.
'Sound'z ta me like ya fall inta the yes, you can category cb.
Jus' keep yer guard up pal, the Man upstairs never minds a liddle help, y'know?

Ouch

Bad luck trails you throw some salt over your shoulder. Keep your head up maybe while your car in the shop you could put one of those metal bumpers that go all the way around your car like a Go Kart heheh just a thought.....

It always sucks when your ride gets damaged. Sucks 2X as much when it's your favorite ride. It's tough luck CBR, but it has happened to all of us at one time or another.

Good luck, get Stewie fixed right, and put it behind you.
