Even (most) Bimmer guys respect the S2000.
A bit of an old thread on Bimmer forums, but in case you haven't seen it, here is what happens when you disrepect a superfine piece of machinery.
I figured the responses would be an endless parade of "Yeah, you're right"'s, but fortunately, most of the posters in that thread have more sense than the OP. Pretty cool seeing enthusiasts that stick mostly to other emblems showing Stewie some love. |

I work with a guy who is hardcore american muscle. He's got a really nice nova. We were talking about cars and I mentioned I owned an s. He said that he has mad respect for the s2k. I was really surprised. Alot of people like our cars more than we think. Its the 10% fanboys that can't realize a great car when they see one.

First time I showed up with Stewie, the hood was open before I could get it stopped in the driveway, and I've stopped by with some gooooooood stuff over the years, mind you. The boys knew much about the car and it's capabilites. I was suprised........I mean suprised man!! I thought I was gettin' me a sleeper. Regards, Jagg |

SXY S2k: let me edit, "only two seats one for you and the passenger you are with opposite sex or not, still gets my antsy in my pantsy" (not in any way toward the passenger, but the car
Sorry about that, is it better now? |

goes to show alot of people have respect for our car, just like we have respect for other sports cars but if I wanted fast right off the showroom floor I would have ordered a mustang GT500KR
I have much respect for all car makers each one has a preformance car to be proud of but I'm a CAR guy not just a S2000 guy I grew up working on my dads 32' duce coupe learning all about hotrods and muscle cars and in my teens soupin' up civics and VW bugs dropping big power in little cars is what I love but as a kid I fell in love with roadsters I don't care if its british, american or from japan but in 2000 I first layed eyes on a "S" and I was in love so when the time came I got one and now I feel like that little kid (who doen't love a little red roadster, and if they say they don't they're full of it) when my Dad and his hotrod buddies (and my brothers) first saw my "S" they gave me shit, they kept saying how cute it was and did my wife know I had her car (I gotta love these guy anyway just remember if you show respect you get respect |

I was looking at Bimmers before I bought my S... saw a lot of Z3's I liked, but they just don't seem like they'd be near as much fun as the S2000. The M roadster might be another story, but those are way north of my price range.
Funny thing is, I started looking at the Z's because I didn't think I could find an S2000 that would fit in my price range. |
