an awesome saturday in the sun

Well i took the s2k out today and the weather was a nice 75 degrees. Just perfect! It seems that i wasn't the only one who thought so. I saw many other stewies cruisin around with the top down..and i finally saw a brand new 2008 on the road. It was the most s2ks i've seen in one day, not including meets or car shows...Way nice! It was a good day.

Just had two days of beautiful, top down, 68 degrees, clear sunny skies driving...unfortunately, the last drive was to the airport to fly off to work. Hated putting the top up and locking the car...wanted just to drive on forever!

GREAT weather today. Took a little ride to the northern suburbs of Hooterville. The locals were having a car show. Lots of 60's and 70's American Iron, a few pickups and even a couple of tractors (it's farm country).

BUT LO & BEHOLD, a 1954 Austin Healy 100 !!!!!! Red and white in VERY good condition. The one and only non-American in the place and nobody was even giving it a second glance (like I said, its farm country).

I tried to find the owner, but either he wasn't there or didn't want to admit it was his. Boy, I sure never expected to see one of those around here! Nice surprise.

Here's a 100.........

Here's something you might be interested in. Healey concept car from a few years ago. It's a V8. Looks eerily similar to GM's roadster.

You ain't kiddin' DJJSR, It has the distinct look of a GM Kappa platformed automobile. The potential is there, if they continue to develop it while keeping costs under control. The styling on this one is better than the Solstice and the Sky, so we'll probably never see it.

Good pic !!
