I was pondering whether or not I should point this out. If you think seat locks can secure your seats from thieve, you might need to hear this. The way seat lock is designed like a "stripped stud." You can easier remove it by using the extractor kit that anyone can purchase at Sears or Homedepot.
I am giving thieve idea here, I'll delete this post in a bit.

i think we should vote on a blanket policy - no guns, only bats. aim for the knees. this can be the S2000 Seat Protection Act of 2008.

That will not do them any good when you use metric carriage bolts (as I and many other S2000 owners have done) for the rear bolts that run through the chassis and are tack welded to the bottom of the car.

Any loud noise like a gunshot (or aluminum bat boink) will likely wake up the neighbors. If everything is relatively quiet (wood bat), you can have a "counseling session" with the criminal for a while until the police show up.

I believe your neighbors will give you props if they get the opportunity to witness the event. I live in witchhuntin' territory, and this is the lay of the land. The crime rate is very low here, in the Yonderland, but seems to creep up a little every year. I remain well-armed and ever vigilant. I'm putting 'em consistantly on a paper plate at 25m with my hand cannon.
