are you sure they were stolen? it does seem like a convenient coincident if similar seats were stolen.

No I'm not "sure". But who gets that many seats on them?? Kinda wierd. Especially that close to each other.

Plus a GOOD friend of mine (on this site he is killabee) just had his seats stolen 2 nights ago!! and he lives in Tampa. So I'm watching all Craigslist and ebay transactions from here to Orlando!!

Maybe there's a way to embriod or emboss the vin# of the vehicle to the rear of the seat, making stolen seats hard to sell.

This is just another reason to add the Valkyrie System GPS Tracking "buttons" to your seats when the system is approved for stateside use in 2009.

Is there pricing on this? Will there be a monthly fee?

The way I understand it the price will allow for optional tracking buttons as well as hidden HI REZ cameras. The GPS location as well as images of who is in your car can be sent to your home computer and/or cell phone allowing you to enter a 12 digit aplha numeric code that will kill your car if it is running, even if the thieves have used a by-pass module or swapped out the ECU. If it is on a truck it will just keep sending the GPS location with images. The price is said to be High.

Perhaps the way to defeat these S2000 seat thieves is to bid like hell on the stolen seats and then just not pay for them. Its like the old sayin "if you can't fence it then don't steal it". Just a thought.

Two words....seat locks.

But the permanent marker idea has merit.

Or,you could do as I and hundreds of other S2000 owners have done. Contact Vingaurd in Canada and send for the etching set that includes the UV light invisble VIN numbers and etch those in 4 places on the metal components of the seats. Do this in conjunction with the visible acid etch VIN numbers and you can tell if they have been tampered with. Besides ...it would smell a lot better than pissing on your seats.

The only problem with putting an identity not visible to the theives is that they still gonna get stolen, just gets harder to sell. Now if they had a visual identity then they would either have to remove it or alter it

Just my opinion.

I bought and installed a set of these on my seat tracks.

Give it a shot. I think you will be pleased.

Hmm...you know what's going to happen if they can't steal the seats when they have already broken into your car right? They'll %$&@ everything up! It'll probably end up costing more than the seats.

The only solution to this issue is to get a hard top or park in a gargage at night! I still think even with the hard top we are still vulnerable.

Yes and by that line of logic we should all leave our homes unlocked and put up neon signs saying"come on in and take what you want"

True they will steal the hardtop as well unless you lock it down too.

No people what really needs to happen is a collective "Network moment" where the would be victums take matters into their own hands and put on notice the thieves or as Dr. Werner Betz says:

"If I work for it ... pay for it ... its mine ... if you try to take what is mine ... I take your life ... It's a fair trade". -- Dr. Werner Betz
