People not clear on the concept. If you drive something like the 2000, side airbags are among the least of your worries. The handling increases your chances of avoiding a crash. Providing you learn how to drive it.

My coworker just bought a Zap Xebra. It looks just like the one on the link. I rode in it and it is like a golf cart, a very poorly made golf cart. It is cool that they don't have to pay for gas though. They also get a special rate from PG&E for the plug they had to put in to power it up.
