My new baby !

After much thought I decided on a new S2000. I couldn't resist Laguna Blue.
So after saying goodbye to my 05 NFR at the dealer and taking the keys to the new 08 I headed home. On the way I stopped off at Tuckerton NJ for a quick photo, you know the "brand new car photo" for the scrap book !

I know she's not run in yet but could you give us a comparo between the 05 and 08?

Congrats, and may I say you have excellent taste in colors. You may find that the blue is easier to stare at than the red, and we all stare.........don't we?

Well H20, just some quick observations . . .

Knowing Honda made some changes to the S since '05 I was expecting to feel some difference between the two. But by and large the new drives like the old, other than the typical new car stiffness of the '08.

I heard that the chassis was tweaked a bit, maybe that's why the ride "seemed" a little stiffer ?

DBW feels no different than the prior linkage set up.

The gear ratios have changed a bit. Doing 70 miles per hour in 6th gear the '05 was at 4k. The '08 is about 3.7 k. Maybe Honda is attempting to help us save a little on the gas???

The sound is different. Gone is the "metallic" sound of the engine if I can put it in those terms. The exhaust note is similar but different. Hard to explain that.

That's about it. Oh, and the seats feel like they have a bit of lumbar support built in, something I really missed on the '05 and which I really appreciate.

I'll mention too that the wheels had to grow on me. Didn't care for them at first but now I'm a big fan of the redesigned wheel. Much easier to clean !

I'll keep you posted on any new observations. Thanks for asking.

Yeah SXY_S2K, the color is fabulous. It's rare in these parts. I've only seen 2 Laguna Blues since Honda added that color in'06.

I like the wheels a lot. My wheels have some sidewalk burn on them (car came that way) and I would like to get new ones. I like the idea that they are easy to clean. Beautiful car by the way.----------J

Congrats on the new car. Laguna is by far my favorite color and I do like those new wheels.
