Selling thread suggestions

Anymore unfortunately it seems that the for sale threads in this forum start fights because of stupid reasons. Whether its missing parts, a scammer, possible stolen item, or high prices.

Even though I don't like to propose this, I think we may need a rules for selling sticky. Any other of our members opinions on this?

Maybe one could be that you have to include a picture of the VIN (not the one off of the windshield) and another could be that you have to be a member of the site for more than 1 month with at least 10 posts?

D1, I hear you, but disagree.

I think everyone here has a "buyer beware" attitude, and that the market will take care of itself. The things you mentioned are good things a buyer should be looking for, and a smart seller would provide. But a scammer could just as easily get around any rules we came up with.

And I can't imagine any rules ('cept maybe the Golden Rule) that would prevent fights. We've all seen the threads you've seen. It wasn't the selling that started the fights. The fights were started by those people who haven't learned the difference between disagreeing and being disagreeable.

Fact is, some of us are idiots all the time, and all of us are idiots some of the time. If you ban the idiots, it'd be peaceful... but lonely.

Just my opinion.

Well put, Swing. Rude posts are from rude posters. If they would stop risking friendly fire and let the moderators take out the scammers then the nasty fights wouldn't happen...

I agree with the 'member of the site for a certain amount of time or posts' idea, but I think it would need to be put up to a vote my the membership at large if the site owner didn't want to make the decision him/herself.

I know for a FACT that the last year of production of the S2000 is 2003!!!!!
After that, it will be the S2200 under an assumed name.
