Works for some. Doesn't for others. Depends on your location, weather, traffic etc.

i use mine as a daily driver. i'm in texas, if/when it snows, the whole state shuts down and you can't go anywhere anyway. i've been in a few good storms too, it's been fine. need to respect it though when it's raining.
but it's surprisingly nice as a daily. cools off quickly because the cabin is small (yes, i ride with the top up because it is around 100 degrees in the summer). and i get great gas mileage compared to the subaru i traded in.

I use mine as a daily driver as well, i think the main reasons people may say that is because its more a sports car and more fun car not as practical Just not much room little louder i would say in the cabin than other cars and cant take off hard roads but if your looking at getting one you kinda already know that, I totally love it and when you get a car like this you kinda know that stuff already you know your not going to be lugging furniture around lol its a perfect daily drive as long as you understand what your getting

Usin' Stewie'z a daily-driver is a source'a constant fun'n immediate satisfaction that jus' ain't the way'a thingz when Stewie only comez oud'a the box when the weather'z suitable'r it'z'a weekend'r the combination'a both.
So, 'ain't no surprise that I'm noticin' that the constant use'izz addin' up'n takin' it'z toll. 'No surprises: the piper must be paid. Oh, there'z been the usual minor dingz'n scratches that comez with the territory. 'Ain't happy aboudd'em, but 'knew that goin' in. N', the past few timez I've RaggTopped the top . . . I'm kind'a noticin' some shiny spots like yuh'd find on a pair'uv ol' favorite pantz whu'cha wore long past they were due fer the rag bag, y'know? So, durin' today'z eyeballin', I spot this pair'a tiny depressionz in'a top. Nothin' ominous, but I never noticed'em before . . . n' maybe I'm payin' a liddle more attention 'cause'a the shiny spots. 'Finally walk over'n take a looksee . . . sure'z hell, somethin' poked a couple'a liddle holez in Stewie'z thinnin' top ('Suppose Stewie'z spendin' too much time with me.) So, everythin' else'z been easily dealt with rationalizin'att it'z'a tool. Toolz wear, 'can't protect it from everythin', yadda-yadda. Well, today these two tiny liddle holez in Stewie'z top forced it to register that my choice'a runnin' Stewie'z'a DD had Stewie showin'er age. 'Kind'a depressin'. 'No surprises there either. But, all thingz considered, 'wouldn't have it any other way though'n wouldn't'uv given up a minute'uv'itt. 'May godda treat'er to a wash this weekend 'n . . . maybe I'll even borra the sandblaster from Hanz n' clean the interior. Yeee-Haaa! (With appropriate royaltiez to brer Jagg.) Java

Mine's a daily driver too or at least every other day anyhow. Works just fine and it's a 56 mile round trip mostly on freeways. I'm in Texas and even though it's been near 100 degrees I put the top down going home. Something stress relieving about the sound you get above 6K rpms. No problems with dings yet, I usually end up parking between a Z06 and a 350Z so everybody kinda watches out for everyone else.

25 miles to work every day for the last 3 years, love it. My wife thinks I shouldn't like the stick when I hit traffic, but it's so much fun when I don't have traffic that it balances out nicely...
