So I don't thread-jack anymore...
Here are the pics of our new house. Yippee for having my own personal garage for SXY now! The house needs new paint inside, yellow in the living room = fail, but other than that we like it! It's 3bed, 2bath, 1600 Sq Ft and it's located in a nice neighborhood in Chandler, AZ.

Congrats. I like the front yard. Why? No grass! LOL. You don't even need a lawn mower. That's awesome!

It's hard to keep grass alive in AZ, so we will probably get some of the really nice fake grass for the backyard at least. I have a bunch of friends that have it out here, and you really can't tell unless you stick your face in it! lol

Congrats on your beautiful new home!!
So the fake grass... will it look better than what the Brady Bunch had in their back yard? And I feel your pain with the yellow. When the Treacherous Snake-Woman and I bought our first house, we had to remove wall paper from the third bedroom. It was a yellow and white striped/floral pattern. The best part was that they apparently had extra paper and decided to cover the closet doors as well. But the paper on the door was hung SIDEWAYS!! WTH were they thinking!! No one with epilepsy could go in this room. Yilch! Awful. Anyway-- congrats again! |

As a friend of mine said about the desert.."It'll be real nice once they finish it"...congratulations on the house. Kind of like having children, costs lots of money but good to have.

Good happening. Nothing like your own castle. You might consider native dessert plants. I heard that artificial turf can get pretty hot in the summer. But heck, you have a pool, so enjoy.

Nice, SXY and BC, enjoy! You know desert living is good, but now you know it's better when you own the place... I vote for a small patch of real grass if you want it in the back for critters - all of the artificials that I've seen and my friends have had do get bloody hot in summer, and the dogs avoid it, so go for the real thing, just enough to trim with a trimmer.
For the pool, shock it twice a year, clean the filters weekly, and have fun! |

Congrats! Very nice. Live in Arizona your whole life? My sister and brother in law are going to move out there in a few years. Thinking about moving myself. Don't know where yet. I'd like to have stable and nice weather. No quakes, hurricanes, twisters (tornados), no days and days of unending rain (weve been getting record rain fall here), no snow, ice, freezing temperatures, no high humidity, low taxes, prefer a conservative type goverment, low crime. Did I miss anything? I think you've got most of that wish list there don't you? Again, CONGRATS!

I'm digging the house. A garage AND a pool? Can't get better than that. Like the kitchen and I do agree about the yellow, I get a headache just imagining standing in that room
