Sounds like you may need to replace your OEM strikers with hardtop strikers.

Forgive me for these pics aren't very good (phone), I just went out and snapped them.

As you can see over time the strikers get worn and the latches won't pull the top against the frame as tight. From what I've been told, the hardtop strikers will pull the top tighter to the frame than the soft top strikers.

Are they easy to replace and where to buy the strikers beside Honda dealer? Honda dealers are b*taches. LOL

Buy them from the link I posted, he's always got good prices. All you have to do is remove the windshield frame trim, and swap them out.

and remember that when you put the top up, after they are latched, pull the switch back again and it will lock the top down more, that might also help.

As I said elsewhere just recently, I dont latch the top unless I am driving top up. No wear on the latches and no squish on the rubber. I rarely drive top up!
Also use shin itsu grease on the rubber bits. Keeps them soft and sexy feeling. And makes a better seal.
But cheaper then new hardtop latches would be bits of rubber hose or heat shrink tubing on the latch hook. Just need to take up a bit of space and the top will pull down tighter. Dunno how well it will hold up but pretty cheap to redo. Or glue bits of rubber on the windshield part. Get creative. Ya dont need much.

Good advice. If your rubber is in good condition, Shin Etsu it will keep it that way. Just rub it in good and wipe off the excess.

This is Shin Etsu......the grease

Learn from my mistakes.......Do not confuse Shin Etsu with Shih Tsu. If you rub the rubber with a Shih Tsu, it probably won't help much and it may smell bad when it gets wet.

This is a Shih Tsu......

Hadn't heard that, gotta go try it, thanks sky!

My Shi-Yorkie is going to be so relieved that he doesn't have to do that any more, I thought his half breed status was the problem...

i was amazed at how much quieter it became. it was actually a mistake..i forgot to unlatch when i was going to put the top down and hit the switch, then i hit it in the closing direction and noticed that it seemed tighter...sure enough, i took it on the freeway and voila! a nice quiet ride.
