So why would I give two craps of creating revenue for a state that doesn't put the money back into law enforcement? I am extremely underpaid with no updated contract information of getting raises anytime soon, so if you think for one second that me writing a ticket is going to work at me getting a raise...you're crazy.

Anyways, I do my job because I have a passion for law enforcement, I truely love what I do and not to make money (which in NO way could or would I make money from tickets). Hope my rant makes sense to someone
Well you are one of the few Police Officers (notice I didn't say cops ) that I would love to have a beer with. Keep it up and never change.

With the rising cost of healthcare these days, I'm thinking about buying a taser for a little do-it-myself therapy to avoid my weekly visits to the asylum. Can you recommend a particular model? My biggest concern is battery life, as I have little electrical expertise and have been paying a licensed electrician to change the batteries in my smoke alarms and flashlights. Maybe a model with an AC adapter would be best.

Thanks for your advice.

You see, my concerns are much different. I live in Florida and with the impending storm, I am worried about backup power. An AC adapter wont help when my power is out. So I bought a 13,000 watt generator. Hot wired the taze'r to it and tested it on my dog. As soon as I hit him, he turned into a dish remenicent of something at a Chinese restaurant, and it smelled like Sweet and Sour Chicken. So that is how the Chinese do it??

I've not had a lot of experience with law enforcement, except for a few stupid parking prigs, but one I'll remember happened a long time ago.

A less than stable neighbor threw his wife and 2 daughters out of the house and dumped her things on the lawn. Not knowing what to do she came to us and we naturally took them in. A call to his house verified his intoxication. He accused me of having an affair with his wife and said he was coming over to shoot us. He did have guns in the house.

A call to L.A.P.D. brought out 3 of their finest. I think their names were Larry, Moe, and Curly. They informed us that they couldn't act on a threat but if he showed up with a gun to call them.

Didn't get much sleep that night. The slam of a car door would send my heart in to a high speed frenzy. Fortunately the nut job never showed. But the anxiety took its toll.

They can act on a threat, but none of them cared enough to do any paperwork. It would already be too late if the guy had shown up with a gun. Sounds just like par for the course, my friend.
