i cant see why it would be illegal.... big rigs have dick loads of chrome all over them and no one cares.

plus the hood is pretty much horizontal anyway.

Go to a wood stripping company and they will dip the hood in a chemical bath, done asap. Then polish.

Look for an electro plating company too. Have it stripped in about 30 mins. Might be worth the extra bucks laddy !

Being aluminum watch the heat generated by orbital mechanical devices. May distort the contour of the hood.

I just emailed a chroming company for an idea of the cost of getting the hood coated with copper or nickel (after i polish it) and the estimate was around $2k, jesus!

it's actually pretty sick. i didn't think i would like it, but then i saw it in person and was impressed. it would look nice on suzuka because it reflects the sky very well.

WTB: OEM/Mugen hardtop (pref. Suzuka Blue) + install kit. Let me know if you wanna sell.
Mods done: LED's in license plate, trunk, and dome.

wetsanded the hood with 800 grit and repolished a corner.

i might go finer, not sure, it looks like a fvcking mirror though
