Brake Help!!!
Ok , so this is not about my S2000 but our TSX. We have 20K on it and the front brakes are at 90% but the rears are at 30%. I thought fronts wore down quicker that rears. My wife and I have never had this happen before. She drives the car pretty easy. I am thinking about complaining to Acura about crappy brake pads. Other than hard driving what could cause this? Please advise.

20k on it i would hope the fronts have not been replaced. googled this and "RSX" and some TSX results came up. a lot of acuras seemed to have a rear brake pad wear issue.
maybe the oem pads are really thin?

Could be the brake proportioning valve is stuck or not set correctly. I had this symptom on an old Datsun. Only this issue manifested it's self as trying to spin every time I braked hard.

My wife's TL has the same problem, and the Acura dealer told us to learn to live with it because it's an Acura "brake engineering" thing. Funny thing is she never had the problem with her Accord?

Is the TSX built on the Civic platform??? The only reason I ask is because on a friend's Civic, they've had the e-brake cable somehow become tighter over time, and would drag slightly even when it was completely disengaged.

This is bad news. I am/was in the market for a TSX to replace my Civic sedan and had very high expectations.

Thanks everyone. I will check out the parking brake and talk to Acura. This is our 2nd TSX, the firs being an 05'. We got rid of it to get the new 09' and it had about 60k on it. At that time the front brakes were at 60% and the rears at about 75% so I don't see why this car should be much different.
ZigZag: Other than this both of our TSX's have been great. This is the only problem that we have ever had. We average about 29mpg in mixed driving and up to 35mpg on long freeway trips, and that is cruising between 70 and 75mph. The 05' seemed a bit tighter in the handling department but the 09' is better in every other way. It's bigger, has a better interior, more comfortable, and feels a lot more substantial than the 05 in terms of the chasis. Don't be fooled by the "lack of power" because the transmission does a great job of putting what power it does have to the road. I just saw that they are now offering a V6 in it for 2010. JOECHY: Have not replaced the front pads, they still have about 90% of the pad left after 20K.
