I love tan seats, not $800 worth of love, but more than most. Where are you located?

More than likely the previous owner had his black seats stolen and this was all that was available to replace them.

What is it with these S2000 seats being stolen? Yeah, they are very nice...but I don't hear these stories with Boxsters, Z4s, or Miatas. It must be that the S2000 seats will fit in a Civic or Accord pretty easily. Kinda sucks - I'd really like to keep my seats

They are stolen because you can drop them into just about any other Honda product. Cost is upwards of $6,000.00 new. Do as I and numerous other S2000 owners have done, get seat locks for the front mounting bolts from Kodokan 4 at s2ki, use metric carriage bolts tack welded to the chassis for the rear bolts and engrave your VIN in 4 different locations on the metal components. If your seats are stolen and end up on E-bay and these areas have been altered or filed down, you have your thief. Its a pain in the ass but then again that is why I have a silent alarm and will come "heavy" if anyone screws with my S2000's.

No they won't. Just like they did for mine which were stolen. The insurance co. wanted to give me seats out of a junk yard and recover them if necessary. (they had no idea how much the covers cost and I informed them). I took their money and bought 2 Recaro Pro F1 SPG's with Taitec seat rails and had about $10 left over. I bought a pair of stock seats on Ebay and sold the drivers side oem and the passenger side Recaro as most women will not fit in it.
