From all the literature I've read (haven't had the pleasure yet) the handling makes the difference - we should be able to beat a carrera on a "curved course" but on straight runs they may get us.. Personally, I doubt he was messing with you, Porshce drivers tend to not be subtle.

I assume you mean a 911 Carrera and then was it a C2, C2S, C4, or C4S? That will make a difference. If it was a Carrera GT, he was DEFINITELY just playing with you.
P.S. How can you be a crappy driver from a 45 miles per hour roll? You put your foot down and assuming it's not an automatic, maybe shift a couple times. It's not that hard.

Yeah, if it was a base 911, nonturbo, targa then those have a between 315 and 345hp depending on the year and they weigh about 3400lbs so we won't get beat too badly but anything else, even a Boxster S should be able to take a stock S2K. The only newer porsche car that we can officially take would be the base Boxster or the base Cayman.

You would be suprised trust me. I raced a evo the other day that was being driven buy a young spoiled brat sill in high school from a 30 mile an hour roll and I beat him. I had no right to win that but the kid just could'nt drive. A list of all the thing you can do wrong and I'm sure he did. - Shift too early - Shift to late and bounce off the rev limiter - Grind a gear - Miss a gear - Hit the brake instead of the clutch.
