Finally a place to vent: DRIFTING A STOCK S2K, quit being negative people!!!
So many people have given me so much crap about how it is impossible to drift an S2000 or at least extremely difficult. Well, here's for you negative non-S2k drift believers out there. AND... keep in mind this car is damn near bone stock, yes thats right, stock suspension, stock steering angle and rack. Only mods are intake, a magnaflow muffler, roll bar and seats.
Watch and enjoy. Thanks to all the awesome people who did support my efforts this year running in the regional Pro AM and other drift events. myspace.com/formularacing (you can watch the videos and pictures from this link without having to be a member) |

I wouldn't say its impossible but I'd say it takes skills. Nice drifting!

I'm surprised to see the Jim Russel school teaches drifting now. I did a piece on them for Road&Track many eons ago. They only had little single seaters wit Renault engines back then.

Think yourself lucky, the only thing drifting in Ontario right now is the snow.
Drive safe. |

I never heard anyone say that it cant be drifted. Its hard in the stock form. Just as hard as it would be to drift a Boxster in its stock form it can be don, but it wont be pretty as if the steering and suspension was changed. Plus a power upgrade(turbo or SC). BUt good job man.

A stripped s2000 with a 2.5 stroker would widen the parameters the car could run in to make it an easier drift.

When the subject'uv driftin' Stewie'z come up in the past, it wuz never that it couldn't be drifted, but rather that it wasn't a platform that lent itself to drifting as well as some other vehicles.
Aaaay, we all put our hard-earned down for our Stewie'z n' nobody'z got any right to even attempt to tell us what to do with it . . . but . . as much as somebody has the right to take their Stewie n' run a Cat D-9 over it n' proclaim it art . . . don't expect me to consider it anything but a total waste'uv'a rare n' excellent sportscar.
