Exclamation watch out speed racer

Last fall the Province of Ontario (Canada) passed legislation to address the increased problem street racers are causing on our roadways. Possibly 39 "related" deaths since 1999.
Here are the fines:
50+ k/hr (30+ miles per hour) over the posted = stunt driving, if you are the sole offender. Result: immediate driver's license suspension, impound your vehicle for 1 week and a fine between $2,000 to $10,000, Oh yeah, we'll see you in court.
Caught actually racing another vehicle, i don't think you would be able to afford the fines and insurance to keep stewie on the road.
1,300 caught in the 1st month.
sorry, you'll have to cut & paste the link. http://www.mto.gov.on.ca/english/about/bill203.htm

This is the reason I live in Yonderland......We've got religon and guns to cling to, so, of course we encourage stunt driving. The inevitable result is, somebody meets Jesus or fires a sidearm.........Ahhhhh. Sometimes it's both. Yeeeehaaaa!

I know for a FACT that the last year of production of the S2000 is 2003!!!!!
After that, it will be the S2200 under an assumed name.

gomarlins3 is right. There is no reason, NONE! to street race. All you will prove in doing so is that you are every bit as ignorant as the brainless P.O.S. you are racing. Our friend Dana lost his 19 year old son to a pair of street racing A$$holes when one of them jumped the curb and hit him as he was walking home on the sidewalk, the impact was so great it tore his son apart! So any street racers I hope to hell that when they catch you they take your car and crush it like they are starting to do here in California.

Sorry guys but this kind of B.S. needs to stop.

s2kx2, you've no need to be sorry. Street racing is stupid and very dangerous. Not to mention, the people that do it generally don't have any driving skill whatsoever.......double trouble.

It comes under the " I don't give a hoot if you risk your own life, but don't be playing with mine " philosophy....

My heart goes out to you friend over the loss of his child....I hope they can find some peace.

Question glad to hear the "take it to the track" mentality

I appreciate the sober thoughts from the replies so far. I've been a medic for 20+ years and have seen the end results of some pretty selfish people. From my experience, and it's simply an undocumented and biased viewpoint... the majority of people who are injured or die in these scenarios had nothing to do with the "race".
Auto racing is a profession. Specialists do it under strictly controlled conditions with a significant amount of attention being focused on safety of the drivers, pit crews, track workers and last but not least the spectators. Every component of every race is choreographed to ensure that the safety aspect of everyone in attendance is the highest priority of every second. I've been a race medic at road courses and an Indy event.
When it comes to “street racing” the considerations for safety are a distant afterthought. It would seem that the only time safety enters anyone’s mind, is after a near miss, or worse yet after an injury or fatality.
Please be advised, I’m not a saint nor am I a fool. I just bring my Province’s enforcement to light as a way to get some discussion going. The warm weather is fast approaching and the long pedal on the right may seem to be screaming to spend more time near the floor.
I would like to see my Provincial Police spend more time mobile catching those who spend time living out their Hollywood screen-tests. Police spending time in their favorite fishing holes catching those exceeding the posted will catch more violators. They will not see the stupendous butt-hole maneuvers that endanger all lanes of traffic.
Everyone has their own standards that they feel are reasonable, otherwise everyone would be driving like they have a driver’s license tester in their car at all times.
20 miles over the posted on the highway with minimal traffic may seem reasonable to you, 20 miles over the posted through a school zone during daylight?
Check out his site, there are many opportunities to test your skill level at a closed course. BTW, you can also take driving courses that will assist you on the track, but will pay great dividends in every day driving.
We all know what stewie can do, leave the posers guessing.
It's my 1st year with my stewie and I couldn't have picked a better ride.
Your thoughts?

The amount of for sale parts off of crashed stewies is testimonial to the lack of driving skills by people who think that their car is fool proof. It is really proof of the fool.

sorry for the long post

i'll try to keep them shorter in the future.
I'm looking forward to taking some pro driving courses this year.
If we meet on the street, I'll save you the trouble right now...you win. Personally, I want to know how I'm improving as a driver and I would like to see if any of the mods I have planned are really cosmetic or performance benefits.
Personally, I feel honda did a great job on stewie. That's why I bought her.

"Sorry for the long post."
What a novel idea, but that wuzzn't a long post n' you got no need ta be sorry lab.
Aces idea the drivin' school. Bar none, the most improvement that can be made ta the Stewie/you combination is done through the steerin' wheel nut.
The differences you can make in the car/driver combination via mechanical add-onz (barrin' F.Induction) r' barely discernible.
The differences you can make in the car/driver combination via driver improvement r' unbelievable.
You've chosen wisely.

Easy explanation.......you have Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID), sometimes known as a split personality. You've been having conversations with yourself.

Or maybe you have a doppelganger?

I'll send you the bill.

Sigmund

Explanations don't always come so easy Jiggy......doppelganger? possibly..
More likely it's der Wille zur Macht......projected essence.

There's always the chance that he's your opposite ubermensch.....

summer shoes up front snows in rear

yeah i said snows in the rear.
my shop had difficulty putting my bspp 010's replacements (don't make the 050 in 17" any more) on my rear shoes yesterday. sending my bs and shoes back to be evaluated for fitment. one went on, the 2nd woulnd't. so now i'm running my snows in the rear. no spirited driving with this combo, feels like stewie has had too much to drink. place the pedal into the happy zone and the rear end gets loose. never noticed it when driving in snow. oh well, it's only another week, although in canada we cherish our snow free weeks like our 'free' health care. lol.
