Young Street Racer Got What He Deserved!!!

I was coming off of the freeway yesterday and waiting for the light to turn green when a teenager and his buddy pulled up next to me in a last generation mustang cobra. This thing was lowered, had side exhaust, and roll bar and a bunch of racing stickers all over it. The road ahead of us merged into one in about an 1/8 of a mile or so. This guy yelled over something and then revved his engine. I was going to let him go anyway because I think this sort of behavior is immature. I know that Stewie is not a drag racer and bought to carve up the twisty roads. When the light turned green he peeled out and lost control right in front of me and ran right into a light post. He was fine and so was the passenger but they weren't fine when the cop who was getting his coffee at the Starbucks across the street wrote him up and hauled him away for reckless driving, speeding, side show, and destruction of property. I feel bad for the guy but he did get what he deserved. Any thoughts?

First thing js1

Thank you for taking the "High round" on this incident by not giving into the brainless little P.O.S. I dont feel bad at all for this jerk, he got what he deserved and he should consider himself lucky as he did not hit another car or someone on the sidewalk. Perhaps his daddy will learn the most important lesson of all. High performance cars do not belong in the hands of "self deluded big balled", little brained low performance drivers.

Not meaning to thread jack, but remember when I mentioned Joshua's little brother being a reckless driver? Yeah, he totalled his 5th car this weekend. He had minor injuries, (first time he's actually gotten hurt), so hopefully it might sink in this time. However, I really don't think it will . I think most of the dumb kids street racing are sadly just like him...

I used to be similar in some ways. Only by Gods protection Ill have to say im still alive. Sure I may have never crashed before but going though that age no kid needs a powerful vehicle. I owned a 97 Dodge V-10 pozytrack (spelling) rear end with 4:10 gears. I slid everywhere I drove it. It was heck of alot of fun. But only 2 times did I really do something stupid. Im just glad im out of that age.

naw strap a 1/5th stick of TNT to the underside of his car. Explain to him if he goes over a certain speed. Say 75mph and if he floors the car. It detonates destroying the driveline or something.

How do you crash a car like that? I still say street racing is not the problem. Its fools that choose to do it in terrible places. Everytime I hear these stories about people racing going 120 miles per hour and zipping past cars I cringe all they need to do is change lanes.

does it have an sd card slot?

Thats how I pull mine off. Save it to the sd card then put it in a camera or something that can read the card then hook it to a computer. Easiest way I know how.

If you can send e-mail from your phone, just send them to yourself. That's the only way I know how to do it. If that don't work, I ain't gotta clue.

My phone is pretty old, I have had it for about 5 years...It just has a place to plug in the recharger and the headphones. I can send text and pic messages but I don't know if I can send them to an email address. I'll have my computer tech at work look at it and see if he can get them off the phone and to a computer. Give me a couple of days because he's at a different work site today.

I could not agree more. I am 36 and I get that from all the locals here. Now judging by my cars in the sig, you can see why. I love to mod my cars the way I like. Then I get the unwanted attention from these kids who had their cars paid for by mom and dad.

Needless to say, I tend to hate those types, and I get the stereotypical looks from the cops. But in the end, we will all see who is wrapped around a tree or end up in jail for being stupid.

I think street racers are wreckless and think they are in control. Control in this situation is an illusion.

Later !!!
