Went to the track
Before anyone even thinks about a lecture on how the car is not meant for drag and blah blah blah save your breath I have heard it before. I am just the kind of person who like's to race and I don't care what kind of shape the track is I do it a ALL.
Anyway I went to the track last night for the first time in my S and it went awesome. I have read other threads about 1/4 mile times before and was pretty dissapointed with the times you guys were getting but was not dissapointed in my time at all 14.00 @ 100.84 miles per hour (with a little over 3/4 tank of gas) .... and all I have is a test pipe. I am going back this friday with alot less gas and I will get a 13.9

Blah-blah-blah-blah.
Blah-blah-blah. Di'joo pay fer yer Stewie? Di'ja have a good time? Does a guilt-induced Catholic school upbringin' (by penguinz) make'ya feel like ya owe anybody'n explanation? 'S'not too shabby Sonic. 'Not shabby a't'all. (This laid-back view'a Stewie-use has been provided by isu.) Java (Okay, okay . . . how'd'ja launch?)

LOL, have you ever been to a circuit track? All I can say is it's more fun than a quarter mile track.

If you're just running time trials and don't care about reaction time, stage shallow. It will lower your ET.

Since you are in Maryland, you need to try the Summit Point track in W Va. I was there last Monday for the Capital City/NERD Racing event. The weather sucked but we had a good turnout.
I spun twice at the apex of a slight right hander only at 25MPH. Slick as dog s..t but fu nonetheless.

You gotta try a timed autocross course man, it is way fun, i like the quarter mile as well, but its awesome to take turns fast and catch every fish tale on the autocross track..not a bad time either..

Batguano sig:
{Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car and oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car. Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall, torque is how far you take the wall with you." --Anonymous} I liked this one, I think I found it through Wiki a while ago: Oversteer is when the passenger screams "tree"! Understeer is when the driver screams "tree"! |
