yep, it's like a six grader beating up a fourth grader and gloating. the s2000 dominates in the 4-cylinder 2.0 category and has to be compared to higher-end models. two people at my work have 350z's (one hardtop and one softtop) but everybody always bugs me about my car.

I owned a 350Z for a year before a truck took it out while parked on a street, god rest her soul. The Z has its strong points, however when given the chance to buy one again I didnt. I bought my 04 s2k and if something happened to her I would buy another. I get a joy and relaxation that I have never gotten from any other car. Many cars are faster but none as much fun. For my money I will the S2k wins with no 2nd place in sight.

A few fundamentals:

1) More displacement doesn't always mean more HP.
2) The 350Z is heavy compared to an "S".
3) HP/WT ratio is a good indicator of straight line performance.

i agree, but just trying to make a small point... any import driver knows that power-weight ratio is the biggest advantage someone can have. not discrediting either car... i actually drive a nissan 240, but have been interested in getting and s2k because its more in my price and style range than a 350 (though i would have to get a hardtop)
