The Type S is only available in Japan. It has the CR's spoiler and soft top instead of hard top.

I still dont see how our cars having a 2.0 engine matters. I always thought racing was who crossed the line first? I am gonna start braggin that my nitro car with a 2 inch tall motor produces about 1.3 hp I think it is a 1.2 cc motor. It might only go 60 miles per hour but it has a better hp to weight ratio.

From driving my friend Z over Xmas I have to agree that it is a great car. Revs almost as high as an AP2 and the low end torque is great. In my oppinion it is a great car. If you care about gas milage it gets around 15. Also the convertible version is hidious.

Love the S but the Z is a great car too.

1. S2000 Type S (or CR) is a TRACK CAR, not a drag racer.

2. S2000 Type S is NOT a CR, it has the full soft top, with motors, hardware, etc...= (weight).

I was hoping that someone would notice that the 350Z isn't stock. The tachometer says "nismo". It's a tuned 350Z! HAHAHA Pay attention! The J's Racing/amuse/MUGEN S2000 would be a good match aganist it!

I was going to get a 350Z roadster rather then the S. I give thanks every time I drive the S that I didn't get the Z.
If you want the fastest car on the road, DONT GET AN S2000!
If you give a damn about such things SELL the S2000. YOU MADE A MISTAKE!
If you want a dead sexy, high quality, honest, no bullshit 2 seat roadster, in the tradition of the sportscars of the past but with heaps of modern technology, power and handling, PLUS the undisputed best bang for the buck, in a high end roadster,,,get an S2000. It's probably the nicest car I will ever own..and I'm fine with that.

She's not the fastest car out there so GET OVER IT! She is definately an excellent choice in a 4 banger roadster though!

Why? Is Honda's primary goal, building an S2000 that will beat a 350Z around a track?

If honda put another 100 horsepower in Stewie, it wouldn't be Stewie anymore......and a alot of owners out there would have piled 'em up already.

These cars are both 2 seaters, and they're both from Japan.
The similarities end there.

If Honda decided to add another 100hp to the S2000, then there is no reason to buy the NSX.

EXACTLY, as I always say, the S2000 isn't designed for an all-out-acceleration. I was just sharing a video! I wasn't degrading our car. i agree, i too was once faced with the decision of a 350z or an s2000 but i didn't make the leaderless choice and got the s2000

I personally do not like 350 Z's at all. I love that everywhere you go you are garaunteed to see a 350z and how the rareness of seeing an S gives you those neck snapping looks from other motorist. That's what it's all about and a 350z owner will never have that.

Besides he had the top down and as someone has already said I ran a 14.00 in my stock 04 AP2.

Both cars are nice, each in its' own way. Some will prefer the S2000 and others will prefer the flattened VW bug.

I said it once Ill say it again. They started the M3 out at the BACK of the pack. It had to fight though the pack then catch up to the Tuned Nissian. Im sorry but their test was a load of crap IMO. If you look at it again clearly the M3 was the fastest look at the lap times.

The Nismo 350z is definitely a great car, but will it connect you with your drive the way the s2000 can? I doubt it. I would never trade my sced s2k for a nismo 350z, not even a turboed one.

just for the record the nismo 350z is a production model.... kinda like getting a type r civic/integra.... but when you throw an NA 350 against an NA s2000 (each with its own positives) the main difference is the displacement and # of cylinders simple as that.

This is coming from someone who has an affinity for import RWD ftr

You can make any comparizons on displacement and so on, but in the end the Z is faster and I dont think most of us can really drive either car at its absolute limit.

The S2000 in my oppinion offers some better things, like the soft top and better milage for only a slight penalty in performance. You cant have it all, but if all you care about is being faster then the Z is much better. There are also many performance parts and improvements for them.

I have to say that I drove my friend's Nismo 350z and I liked it more than the stock Z but I still like the Stewie better and I that is why I bought a Stewie. If you look at my current cars below, you can see that I can buy anything that is in reason and I picked the cars I have based on what I like about each one. So what does this mean? In the end, is it important who is the fastest and what does that mean anyway? Fastest car or fastest driver??? I would rather be a great driver than a guy who bought a fast car but then again I do own a MB E55 AMG which is a super fast straight line car. So... great that the Nismo Z is faster, hurray for Nissan for this stunning accomplishment!!! It is unfortunate that these 2 very different cars are always being compared. I suppose that we Stewie lovin' folk should feel a sense of pride that our small, 4 cylinder, roadster is always being compared to bigger, more powerful, and faster sports cars.
