to much fun

the stars finaly aligned for me and i was able to make the 11/2 hour drive to dothan for the sunday auto x. i quickly remebered why i loved the car sport so much the poeple are great friendly and more than willing to help.
the fast time of the day (57.864) was set by a mustang gt with cobra wheeles covered witha full slick race tire and driven beyond what it should ever do by the owner. i got to go for a ride what a driver. i was 1 of two s2k's there me being an ap1 and his being an ap2, he was also a great driver posting a 61.148 on a race compound dot street tire. never really saw how much rubber was under the ap2 tell yesturday. holy smokes that was a wide tire. i was very happy with how my car did and how much time i droped in 8 runs. i started with 78.761 and by my last run i posted my best run at 66.498. i need more tire. the stock tires are shredded. it was a very hot day also the tar mac was showing 135 by mid day and an air temp in the high 90's. next time i will come much more prepared. all in all it was a great day and made some good friends. hope to see the time keep dropping.

Great job man! wish I had the time to take off to the tracks and get into that. maybe I'll ask for some time off just for it

Any suggestions for a first timer from a first timer?

try not to let your nerves get to you ask lots of questions of the othere people in your class and cars like yours. i asked to have one of the people to drive my car well i rode so that i could see he lines better and feal what it should feal like. just have fun dont race anybodys time but your own and agian just have fun.
