Yes I do, and checked out yours. You may be hearing from me. I dont know if I am going to take the S2k or my Mustang yet, It will be the first for the S2K. I have one for the mustang. The camera mount in my mustang was my best investment. if I have my helmet on, the camera is in use. If anyone want to learn from there mistakes a mounted camera located where you can see the tech and road is the best instructor for the money.

Chaz, I'm going to see if I can make the trip up for the day. I wouldn't mind running shot gun for a session or 2. Also, I can bring my camera mount, camera, and timer to put into your car if you want to see your data.

I would bring my S, but I won't be driving on the track. I want to make sure my shoulder is at 100% strength before I try to tax myself with driving on a racetrack. I would simply be a passenger/crew chief for you.

Just don't kill me in T9. They've already had a death there a few weeks ago.

You might check on the rules for passengers at WSIR. Speedventures is saying none allowed unless they are an instructor.

Which run group are you in? Hopefully, the blue group so I can ride shotgun. Yellow group means you'll have an event instructor in the car with you.

I'll be leaving at 4 AM. It's a 210 mile drive, so I should be there by the time the gates open at 7 AM. I'll bring some tools, tire pressure gauge, video camer, lap timer, and WATER. It's going to be a hot one. Bring sunscreen! And probably a few extra shirts. Temps looking to be around 100 degrees.

I am thinking about coming out. Don't really know why.

Vinny, are you going to be coming I5? If so, we could ride together and split some gas cost.

I called Morgan this morning and left him a message to see if he wanted to go. If he doesn't call back, or doesn't go, I'll come up and we'll ride together. Let's check in later tonight with each other so I can see what Morg decides.

Just got it back from the alignment shop nothing got bent but the L/S was out BAD! Also got some damage from the rocks on the lower R/S behind the door.Other than that we were lucky I kept the shinny side up!It was a ROOKIE mistake down shifting in the turn.I misjudged the situation but got out of it.

Lap times - Session 1 - Lead/Follow - riding with Vinny

Lap Lap Time
02 2'27.9"
03 2'22.4"
04 2'17.8"
05 2'17.0"
06 2'14.8"
07 2'14.0"
08 2'06.4"
09 2'11.0"
10 2'12.8"
11 2'09.7"

Session 2 riding with Vinny

Lap Lap Time
02 2'13.0"
03 2'13.6"
04 2'14.1"
05 2'09.8"
06 2'08.9"
07 2'16.9"
08 2'10.8"
10 2'11.5"
11 2'14.2"

Session 3 riding with John

Lap Lap Time
02 2'24.2"
03 2'22.5"
04 2'18.7"
05 2'21.4"
06 2'20.8"
07 2'13.2"
08 2'14.8"
09 2'13.8"
10 2'11.4"
11 2'11.4"

Session 5 by himself after I drove his car

Lap Lap Time
02 2'12.4"
03 2'12.6"
04 2'19.2"
05 2'10.4"
06 2'09.2"
07 2'10.0"
08 2'09.7"
09 2'07.2"
10 2'07.2"

11 2'13.7"

I think his confidence was really down after off-roading. But he did much better on his own in the last session. I guess he needed to be by himself and just let all the instruction we were doing earlier sink in.

My lap times in his car for comparison. This was my first time on this track too.

Lap Lap Time
02 1'57.4"
03 1'56.1"
04 1'58.4"
05 1'58.9"
06 1'55.3"
07 1'53.6"
08 1'56.3"
09 2'00.0"

I went easy on the brakes after a few laps. I could feel them on the brink of getting over-heated. I was braking a good 20 miles per hour before entering T8, a turn I think most drivers stay on the throttle. I didn't feel comfortable entering the turn at 107 miles per hour in someone else's car on tires I didn't trust and weren't used to.

I'm converting the videotape right now. One mistake I see constantly and wish I had noticed it while you were driving is that you kept moving your hands out of the 10-2 position. I wish I had caught that.
