Joisey Track Time
Anybody that's godd'an interest in this kind'a thing:
Raceway Park in Englishtown NJ, long known for it's history as drag-racin' bedrock, is in the process of schedulin' track-dayz on it'z brandy-new mile+ roadcourse. Check it out on-line. I can't doo'itt justice with one'a my disjointed posts. Thing'uv'itt'izz, when you sign on for their track dayz, the first portion'uv yer day'z gonna be passin' muster. Face it: if you're gonna go out there'n auger-in, everybody waitin' behin'juz gonna get jus' a wee bit miffed'z they wait for them to putty-knife you off'a whatever it wuz that caught yer fancy. Then there'z the legal BS. But the crowd waitin' in line behin'yuh'z gonna get downright ugly. So they wanna spend some time with first-timerz to make sure that they can both make it around the track safely'n enjoy 'emselves in'a process. Once you go through that, as I un'nerstan'itt, you gedd'a sort'uv track license. Any other times you come back you're already good to go. When the schedule is set up, it'll be from 08:00 until 16:00. 'Price'uv'a spot on the playground is currently $225. 'Coverz'n on-site fire-rig'n crew, on-site ambulance'n crew'n new, smooth, twisty tarmac, without the intrusion of cell-phonin' soccer-momz in minivans'n bluemen in those stealthy HemiChargerz. The track'z email izz: ETownRcwy@aol.com The nice feller that I've been emailin' with is Chris Winter'n he'z also the feller who'll be clearin' you fer duty. The other nice feller whut I went one-on-one with ('Couldn't help but drop by fer ol' timez sake) wuz Rick Goldman. Even if it's not'a dooable thing for you, check'em out on-line. Oh . . n' a word ta the youngsterz in'a crowd: don't laugh't yer elderz before the festivities. 'Ain't no hidin' when yer timez're up on'a boardz. Let the gamez begin? Java

Englishtown'z whu'cher lookin' for RL.
You can rent the track by the day. 3 large for the track, 800 for the two rigs'n crewz'n 250 for an instructor (Read: track rep). Amassin' the necessary personnel to make it cost efficient turns into grief when the "Yeah, surez" turn "poof" on ya'n they ain't available for comment. So, their track-dayz takez care of that for you. All you godda'doo is schedule, payz the nice man'n show up on the agreed upon date. Java

This sounds really fun, but the entrance fee is about 1/10 of the gas it would cost me to get there... We are, of course, expecting lots of pics from this!
