Lancer vs. Impreza

Okay, heres an age-old question. Which do you prefer, a "Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII MR" or a "Subaru Impreza WRX STI"? I am a die-hard Lancer fan. So no hard feelings to you Impreza fans.

Despite being biased by having Boost around , I would still go with an STI. I just think the quality is better(interior and exterior and engine), and you can't get better than the sound from that boxer engine...

But I do agree, completely asthetically, I might be inclined towards the new Evo's. I really like the new styling...

I used to like the STI more, but now they are only available in hatchback form. I hate that hatchback look. I am going to have to go Evo FTW. There styling is priceless.

I like the new front end on the Evo. Nice and aggressive looking. Kinda like Darth Vader's helmet.

I sell Mitsubishi's and the Evo is the Shiznit! All I think about when Im driving my S2000 is driving a Evo. Im 6'2 280 pounds so that has alot to do with it. I drove one and with the active yaw control it felt like i was on a roller coaster. They say the S is the best handling factory car under 40K, that was until the Evo X came out. Evo all the way.

Neither. They may perform well, but almost all of the STIs and Evos in my town are riced out. They have huge wings and 6 inch diameter exhausts. The owners around here are also the cockiest people I have ever met. Racing everyone they see. I think they're the new civic basically.

I'm sorry, you're absolutely right, so I'll offer something a little more constructive. The Lancer has a fine performance heritage. Obviously born and bred for speed and agility. This picture is an older model, but as you can clearly see, it's the ultimate racing machine...........

whoa! slow down... there's no need to go bashing people. there are quite a few people who would rather just read than post, nothing wrong with that. i read more than i post too.

i think it's a legit question... you got more responses than i thought you would. but you can't post something like this and not expect to have people question it.

i'm not trying to censor you... you have a right to post whatever you want. but don't light a match and be mad when you burn your fingers.

I'm going to have to say the Evo, as I know numerous people who have split the block in STIs trying to make big power. I guess it's inevitable with the boxer engine design?
