Why don't we see the S2000 raced more?

I have an S2K and watch the Speed Channel often. I have not ever seen an S2K raced in any sanctioned event. I wonder why since it is a wonderful platform to drive. I often wonder why it is not raced in Speed Channels Challenge Series? Would it be competitive? I don't know. Does anyone know why we don't see it raced on televised races. I know that many people race their personal rides often in Ca. but I live on the East coast in Delaware and there are no road tracks here. It sucks,

I was going to say the same thing. I lived in Philadelphia and went to Summit Point before. My brother still goes to Pocono Int'l for track events too. He also used to go to Limerock, CT and Watkins Glen, NY.

You pretty much HAVE to drive a bit to any race track, even here in CA. 3 of the 5 are in the middle of nowhere in the dessert. Willow Springs and Buttonwillow are 3 or so hours from San Diego and about 1.5 hrs north from LA. Pahrump, NV is 3 hrs east from both LA and San Diego. After that, it's 7 hours to Laguna Seca or Infineon and at least 10 hrs to Thunder Hill from San Diego.

Type in your zipcode and get all the tracks in the area.

The main reason is money. They race a lot out in Cali in SCCA's H1 in stock form. The rest I've seen are normally FI to keep up with the competition.
