the VQ35 Motors Feel lazy in first and 2nd gear you deffinatly feel the weight of the car. They're torquey, they problably own the S until you hit VTEC. Once your in you redline 1st, its all even after that point. I always felt as if my 350 was lacking the stated power until i drove my friends which felt the exact same. Then i realized that they arent as quick as most think. Example, I raced my buddies 96 EK Hatch with a B16 Swap (for those that may not be familiar with the lingo its a 96 civic hatchback with engine and drivtrain of a 00 civic si 160 BHP). From 30 roll I barley pulled away once he hit VTEC, by the time we shut it down I was 1 car ahead or so. Theres about 100whp difference between the two. I guess what im trying to say is weight makes a HUGE difference.

Conclusion... S=Z

OK, torque can be deceptive for gauging speed. I find that the "push back in the seat" effect makes you feel like you are moving really fast, when in actuality you may or may not be. It feels awesome to get glued to the seat back tho.

I guess I'll add my $0.02 here. This comparison is pointless. As we all know, the S2000 is a hard-edged, purpose-built sports car aimed at road course driving. The G35 might also be called a "sports car", but it's probably more of a luxury grand tourer, with a much softer side to it. Neither car was intended to be a drag racer, and when comparing them as such, the differences are trivial.

PS...if both these cars got driven off a cliff (), they'd very likely hit the ground at the exact same time, no matter how much faster one was going than the other, or how much heavier one of them was.

uh I wouldn't take anything UNDFTD1 posts too seriously. If you read his only other post...he's trolling and he sounds like he's maybe 14 or 15 years old.

Ok shut up then. I never said I drove a fkn Truck with 500LBs of torque. Honestly T6, you seem like a pretty cool and intelligent person, my only complaint on you is that you assume too much and make urself look foolish.

Ahh you two... You guys are pretty opposites on the forum T-6 you love to start trouble and honestly I dont mind sitting back and watching lol, I learned not go give you anything to fuel or it will happen. Rayray I understand where your coming from with the car having more Tq but... I think its almost a misconception it almost "feels" like its faster since it shoots you back into your seat right off the bat... Our cars after gets up there just has a little more go, which ends up being pretty equal. Im not sure we would spank a G35 but we can sure give them a run for there money and possibly win.

and you're right RL, I think I am giving the G35 more credit than it deserves simply cuz it pushes you back into your seat immediately, where the S2000 only does that in VTEC, barely. Didn't mean this to get this out of hand, both cars are awesome, I would just put my money on a G35 if it came down to it, that's all.
