Mugen vs. C/R

Wich 1 is better? The Mugen S2k or the S2000 C/R?

Sure you can You can get everything except the engine, there are only 2 in the world. But you could get a pretty close substitute. And for the rest of the parts call King Motorsports. The Mugen car is better in every way.

I know you can buy all mugen parts... But you cant just buy a Mugen S2000 like you can get a CR... and I would say there are ALOT more parts rather then the engine no? Fenders, trunk, but they do make LOT of parts for the S. And to build an S with all authentic Mugen parts you would probably be close to 100k easily.

You will note I never mentioned money. It would be measured in cubic dollars.

LOL(cubic dollars), I would trust the CR aerodynamic equipment over the mugen only because it was designed by Honda's engineers, everthing else is left up to mugen.

well, technically, i would think the mugen S2K is "better." by better, i mean probably a little faster and stiffer handling.

Firstly, Mugen is one of Soshiro (not sure of the spelling) Honda's sons and Mugen is Honda's race division. So all those expensive parts are nearly Honda parts. The Mugen NZ dampers are indescribably excellent and substantially stiffer than the CR. The engine is 2.4 liters based on an AP1 block and produces 275 hp.

That's basically correct. Desmo described it well above this post. And I believe Mugen is working on or now has a modified F22 build blueprint. As I said before Mugen is a great and high quality modified parts industry I just prefer the CR areodynamics. I have the Mugen slotted rotors and love them. Basically all they are is a Honda OEM rotor with Mugen's machining to add some slots.

A CR is pretty much the same as an AP2 with the exception of better suspension. My money is on the Mugen. But who cares! LOL. I'm going for the Lotus. YEAH...that's my next car!

I love Lotus. NZ Dampers and Swift Sway Bars will out handle the CR any day of the week.

Considering there were only two Mugen S2k engines in the world, one in the King Motorsports car and the other in Japan. Unless the King car is what he's talking about, it's just more rumors.

It all depends on what you think as a mugen s2000... I have seen many guys on s2ki that have TONS of authentic mugen parts on there car from wheels hood hardtops wings coilovers intake headers exhaust seats and more and more... Than you can buy one, Did they ever come sold to the public built like that, No

As previously stated, the Mugen S2000 isn't a production car like the CR was. Whats really to compare then? I guess you need to get all the Mugen suspension and body parts you can possibly get and then take it to the track and see how it compares to a CR.

Is the Mugen engine available to buy?

And that is what I was talking about. If they have put even a derivative of NZ dampers in the CR it would be good. Buy a slightly stiffened AP2 is with no convertible top is not equal.
