At that high of level? Really? School me on why the gas companies only throw so much in then if its cheap octane. Hell, they could be selling 100 octane gas for a few cents more then right?

And the "so-so has done it for years" argument is a poor style of arguing. I could say, "Jim Bob and half a million other f-body owners have been running 10s on stock 10 bolts for years with no issues so I can." I could say, "Kutjsula and many other s2k owners have ran over 600hp stock block no problem so it'll be no problem for me."

i never said at that high of a level.

mixing xylene / toluene into 93 octane is not going to hurt anything as long as you do it correctly.

and no, millions of people havent run 10s on stock 10bolts and there are NOT many other people @ 600rwhp on a stock block.

thousands of people in the turbo buick community and other turbo communities have done it with no problems.

Never said millions. I said half a million.

But like I said, I don't get why people throw it through the fuel system. Just an IMO and nothing more. If you aren't consistent with mixing, your tunes not gonna match. Which is what 80% of people who mix that stuff do. They don't mix it consistent and are always messing with their tune. At least from my observations from the local car scene.

I will stick with alcohol injection. Cool intake temps and higher octane how could you go wrong? My intake temp drops 20+ degrees a second after the alcohol injection kicks in.

And you'll always be consistent with the same gallon per hour nozzle and pressure(unless its progressive).

A lot better than trying to play the mad scientist mixing stuff.

i never bothered with it, but there are petroleum engineers in the buick hobby (remember, older guys) that have had plenty of discussion over it.

if you are going to do it, do it right. i dont know why anyone would bother going to all the trouble to mix the stuff up without paying attention to ratios. you dont know what octane you're ending up with and thus dont know what kind of boost/timing you can run.

propane injection was much easier than dealing with going to the paint store to pick the stuff up. it was cheaper than race gas for people that wanted to do it though.
