March/April Drive

Ok people, the Socal weather is near top-down perfect which is making me itching to do a drive. I know everyone is busy, but let's see about getting a drive together at the end of this month or beginning of April. Anyone interested, please chime in with your thoughts!

How about up Palomar Mountain Drive, and down the back side towards the lake. Then maybe up to Julien for some pie???

Vin/Jen...thanks for being there on Saturday! It was great that you could attend and I hope you had even HALF the fun I did!

Tim, that is an awesome idea since I have not done Palomar yet nor have I had apple pie from Julien.

Ihad a blast just watching you dance with the belly dancer. I almost tripped over Mike's tongue as he was ogling her. She was quite a beautiful girl.

Hi Vinnie,
Jim & Marvelous Mar are up for the drive. South Grade is a screamer to get up, especially when you have to dodge the crotch rockets.

Highway 23 from the 101 to Malibu is a good one then up the 1 to Neptune's Net for a bite.

Vinny, I have only driven I5 south of LA. I am hoping that there is more to OC/SD than just I5.

On the other hand we MAY be coming down that way next weekend. She wants to get out of LA for a day, and she mentioned either SD or Vegas for a day trip.

I'm hoping someone will step up and help. I don't even know how to get to Palomar. I have a bunch of guys down here in Chula Vista from S2KI that want to do a drive as well. I'm thinking Saturday, April 7 is a good day. No one has said otherwise so far.

I talked with Mike today and we are going to drive Palomar Mountain Saturday morning at 8:30 AM. We are going to be meeting at the Mobil station off the 15 and the 76. I'll have a few more details in a day or 2.

i will be in town this weekend and i am looking forward to breaking in the motor. the car is sitting in my girlfriends garage with only 100 miles on it. cant wait to get back

The event was pretty good. I think we had 7 S's and 1 350Z. The ride up was wet and really foggy, so we had to back off the speeds a bit. We stopped and hung out for about 30 minutes or so when we got to the top. The sky broke and it was beautiful for the ride down the other side. We went on to Julian and had lunch and we went our separate ways from there. It was a good ride.

I'm leaving for Buttonwillow later today and driving the track all day tomorrow with Checkered Flag Racing. I'll be back late Saturday and have a ton of work to do by Monday. I wish I could go or a drive
