Palomar Mtn Run for June

I was thinking that the last Saturday (30th) in June would be a great day to make the run that way its not sort notice

I would like to set this up so more of us can join, just let us know if this is a good day or not that way we can plan for everyone

We’ll be having some company on sat June 30th for the run my boss has asked if his two clubs can come join in the fun (Harley Davidson Ford trucks and Toyota X-Runner trucks) and maybe a few BMWs and Mustangs too I think it will be a lot of fun

Hopefully, I'll have my car back for the run. My wife will in Vegas for a bachelorette party, so I'll ask my buddy Jeff to see if he wants to go. He'll enjoy it.

I am good with that. Lets just keep the S2000s together and in front of the trucks for the sake of safety and field of view. Hey Wheels did you ever send me the AP-1 CD?

I agree. It will be like the freeway if we are behind the trucks.

Anyone else care to join the Palomar run on June 30th? The plan is to meet 8:00 am at the 15 & 76 parking lot behind the Mobil station at this exit. So far here are the current attendees.

Hey, I'm thinking we should do the drive first and then breakfast. Last time seemed like we had a lot of traffic and I was wondering if it would be a better drive earlier instad of later. What do you guys think?

On the other forum, John mentioned going to Julian for breakfast first and then doing the drive. I'm thinking we might hit less traffic on the mountain if we do that first and then drive to Julian for a late breakfast.

I'm never on the other forum, I think doing the drive first is the best thing

It really does not matter to me which way we go first but.... the only down side there could be is the crotch rockets hit the mountain earlier so we could be contending with the excitement of a bike or two straying into our lane descending as we ascend the mountain. However, I will go with whatever the majority wants to do.

WOW...GREAT drive today! Perfect weather and only 1 truck that blocked us for the first 5 minutes and then clear sailing for the rest of the drive. That was the best one yet. Drove a total of 225 miles today. Is it me or did the drive seem more fun with no women with us??

Hey guys,

Just wanted to stop in and say thanks for letting me tag along. Had a blast going up that mountain. First time I've really done anything with that truck other than taking onramps on freeways.

Looking forward to joining up with you guys again. Hopefully soon, but I've got a baby due next month so will have to play it by ear.

Glad my truck was able to "keep up" and not slow anyone down too much!
