Wine tasting
John, I just opened the bottle of Sangiovese from that time we stopped and did a tasting after one of our drives. Excellent wine!! It got me thinking of how we talked about doing a wine tour and incorporating the roads we do now into the tour.

Sounds great Vinny, you and Jen should come up for dinner one night and we could start to hammer out details.

Wine country just over the hill from Santa Barbara. Got real popular after they filmed "Sideways" there.

We won't be drinking and driving. We'll be eating and drinking while planning a drive.

Pasta Sessa Arrunca is named after my grandfathers home town, it consists of sun-dried tomato's, garlic, garlic, garlic, red wine olive oil herbs and Parmigiana reggiano. capisco?

Yeah, I'll have to check with her for her work schedule. I'm going to Chaz's track this Saturday and Jen is working, but I don't know about upcoming saturdays.

Hey, I didn't know that pasta dish was called that (Sessa Arrunca)...I just made it tonight!
I am very down with a trip to ANY wine producing area in CA. I sell wine for a living...Might help with the tasting fees. Also, wine is to be "tasted" at the winery and drank at home(or hotel, etc...) so the drinking and driving issue is moot.

Santa Barbara would be a great somewhat local trip, plenty of top notch wineries and good roads...Foxen Canyon Road can get a little bumpy tho'!
