Palomar/Julian Run - Sun 8/31/08
As part of the Summer BBQ, we'll be doing a drive on Sunday morning to Palomar Mtn and to Julian for breakfast. The route will be the normal roads we've been doing lately.
The meeting point will be the Arco station parking lot at Deer Springs Rd and the 15 at 7 AM.

Wow...we had a great drive Sunday, 10 cars total. There are some pictures posted by others on this thread:

Just a quick note on the drive...we had only saw 2 CHP on the day. One of them pulled over to the side and as we were passing him, he yelled out on his looudspeaker that all of us needed front license plates....haha...whatever {finger}.
Later in the drive, we turned onto Mesa Grande, now down to 4 cars because some people had to bail early. As soon as we turned, there was a CHP sitting in the middle of the road with his lights on and not letting anyone through. I thought there may have been an accident down the road or something. There were also 3 motorcycles in front of us waiting. One of the motorcycle guys came up to me and said that there was a photoshoot going on down the road and the CHP was giving us a POLICE ESCORT and then would move over to let us by. It was pretty funny to hear 3 S2000's hit VTEC along with a Lotus Exige S as we went by the CHP without being harrassed...lol. That was a very RARE moment. One of very few CHP's that is cool. I was hoping he wsn't going to give us tickets for speeding or no license plate or whatever else he wanted to be creative about. So there...I'm giving a cop some props.  All in all, a great drive. The only bad part was that I stopped off at one of the casinos and lost $100 in about 20 minutes playing black jack.

Hey Dude $100 in 20 mins. try and beat my time in Vegas $3000 in 15 min. OUCH! I am no longer hanging in Vegas! But anyway the pic of you with the cop was COOL! You should of asked him to pose with you and your S! LOL
