I don't think I can go on the 15th, guys. I stopped by the shop and my transmission is not finished. He did say he was going to have it done probably by Wednesday, but I know my mechanic pretty well and I don't think it will be done in time.

Looks like I have to hold out until the 29th to do a drive.

Well, is anyone else up for the 15th? I may go to Idylwyld on Saturday morning the 15th just had the wheel hub nuts torqued to the new specs and the clicking sound is gone. Need to wring this out a bit to see if it returns. If it does its new rear hubs and bearings.

Let me know if any of you want to go to Idylwyld.

On the August 29th run Steve Sauls from Makestar Honda here in Temecula is going to join us in his original ultra rare left hand drive 1968 Honda S800.

John, we're going to start at Deer Springs Rd so that we can do Circle R Drive, West Lilac and Couser Canyon. We usually start at 7 AM. Do you want to push it to 8 AM?

I will check with Steve Sauls on the 28th. 7:00 am is fine with me at Deer Springs but since he is going to follow me in his S800 I will have to see if that time works for him. More to follow.

Oh Vinny had the Rear hub nuts torqued to the new specs and the cars drive train clicking went away, I'm going up to Idyllwild this Morning to throw around the red S awhile and see if it comes back.

There is a chance I may not be able to make it. Mechanic called me and he test drove my car and he is getting a whining noise from the transmission.

Anyone have a manual that can tell me how much fluid it takes when dry? Usually takes 1.5 when changing. He already put in the full 2 quarts I gave him.

I get home from Vegas late Wednesday afternoon. I was hoping to pick it up tomorrow, but not sure yet.

Edit...I might be able to borrow either Jen's car or my father-in-law's car and I'll park it at the Arco and I'll ride shotgun with someone.

I wanted to ride with John because most likely he'll be leading if I'm not driving. He doesn't know the 2 new roads we take now and I would ride with him to show him the way.

Actually, your driving should be fine for me. I have gotten queazy before as a passenger, but not nearly to the extent that Mike has. At least my queaziness happened on a racetrack.

I am calling Jen's father right now to see if I can borrow one of their cars. i haven't heard of anyone using the UK spec on an AP2. I tend to not pay nearly as much attention to AP2's since I don't have one.

Also, stopped by the repair shop today to check on the car. I was about to take it for a test drive to listen to whatever noise it was making and I could not get it into 1st gear. First, it would not go into any gear, then it decided to go into 2nd, 3rd, & 4th. I didn't check 5th or 6th. I decided not to drive it. Then while sitting in neutral, I let the clutch out and the car felt like it wanted to roll forward as if in gear. He is going back inside tonight to find the problem. I hope I get it back soon. It's been over a month now
