leather

Hey, I'm new to the site but have been a S2000 owner since 2003. I have an '01 black w/ red interior. My drivers side seat is worn and looks terrible. Would like to have the leather re-done - or VERY nice leather seat covers. Any suggestions in Austin, TX??

its going to be pretty expensive to redo the seat if I were you I would look around for a good deal on a new stock seat on ebay or maybe even a set of good looking aftermarket seats

I don't know that too many placez're capable've makin'itt'z nice'z Mother Honda. (I'm sure that they'll say they can, but that'z'a hell'uv'a chance iff'itt doesn't come out nice.)
'Z'farr'z seat-coverz . . . I've never seen anythin' that approchez somethin' I'd want in my ride.
Good luck.

For the cost of new leather covers you could get Mugen headers and an exhaust.

Depending on how worn it really is I have seen guys do some stuff to make seats look like 100% brand new, Some thing with leather dye and what not im not too sure exactly what they do but places can repair worn leather as long as its not totally gone

certainly not gone - just looking dry on the seat no matter how much I treat it. In all, they still look pretty great but the seat is starting to get worn. I'll see if I can find a leather worker to take a look. thanks for the advice!!

Wet Okole makes some good seat covers for an S2000. There''s also a couple custom leather shops online that advertise seat skins for an S2000. They do custom inserts and all kinds of custom things too.

Clean it up with 303 or Raggtopp cleaner and apply 303 space age. You may be surprised. Worth a shot.

Griot'z Garage'z gott some leather-specific balmz'n magic potionz too. Iff I hadda go with somethin' on my leather, I'd go leather-specific before anythin' that'z touted'z bein' "universally" good fer everythin'. ("'Ere'yuh'go kidd. Take'a hitt'a'diss. 'Makez everythin' groovy man.")
Eastwood might jus' have somethin'ta offer upp too.
Even some'a the leather clothin' outfittz like Schott'n Vanson'n the like might surprize'yuh.

The leather has a plastic coating for protection. Regular leather stuff doesn't work all that well.
